Hi there, it's the laziest blogger alive. And what we have here is the new video for Kool Thing 's latest single "TV Tower". The track is taken from their self-titled debut LP, out now on Mad Dog & Love Records and available here . Starring the band themselves, the video is equal parts humorous, creepy, and bizarre - just the way we like it! P.S. You'll never guess what's in that bag: If you can see this, then you might need a Flash Player upgrade or you need to install Flash Player if it's missing. Get Flash Player from Adobe. [...]

Los Angeles via Portland duo Soft Metals are back with an awesome new song. Do yourself a favor and take a listen to "Tell Me", the first single from their forthcoming sophomore album. The follow-up to their self-titled debut (one of our 2011 favorites) and last year's interesting collection of remixes, is called Lenses , and is due out this summer on Captured Tracks . Their distinct brand of synth-pop always veers between dreamy and dancefloor-ready, and "Tell Me" is no exception. We're excited to hear what the rest of the record brings! Soft Likes [...]
Watch the video for the gorgeously eerie Maya Postepski remix of Heidi Mortenson 's "Dele Af Kroppen" (which apparently means "parts of body"). The track is taken from Mortenson's latest release, the Mørk Remixes EP, available from her Bandcamp . Speaking of Postepski (of Austra and Trust fame), she has recently been busy with her solo project Princess Century ; a new EP is coming out later this month. The video was directed by Mortenson herself, and, umm, features "Maya Postepski as a ghost". If you can see this, [...]

It's been a few years since we last heard from the mighty Excepter , ie. too long. They appear to be back though, which can only be good news. Religion Records recently posted some songs from their forthcoming various artists compilation, and one of them happens to be a new track by the aforementioned experimental outfit. Stream Excepter's "All the People" here, visit Religion Recs' Soundcloud for a few more tunes, and look out for the aptly titled Psychic Selections v. 1 compilation, as well as more new stuff from Excepter. Excepter .net . [...]

It seems that, while we were away, Laura Clock finally started to get the attention she deserves with her Butterclock project. Her new First Prom EP, out on FANTASY music , features five tracks that make for a perfect late night listen, or for one fucked up prom night. We've already had a chance to hear the lead singles, " Holograms " and " Don't ", and now, to mark today's digital release , the EP has been made available for streaming in its entirety - which you can do below. Also peep Clock's NC guest mix in case you missed it [...]
As some of you may have noticed, No Conclusion has been on a month+ long break, but the time has come to get back to blogging. We're going to "pull a The Knife" on you and return with something long an experimental, because why not. And, well, because we got to premiere the latest installment of the exquisite Portland-based Experimental ½ Hour video series. This episode features Litanic Mask 's stunning rendition of "Kabuki" (taken from their self-titled debut LP), followed by a sweet set from Sissy Spacek and a frantic performance by Twins , with some [...]

We're happy to premiere the video for Textbeak 's new single "Gatchaman", out on Post Religion Records . Along with the original version of "Gatchaman", the release features remixes by Slow Head , Strange Powers (of Men in Burka), High Park and Raudive (a.k.a. Oliver Ho). It is now available digitally and in limited edition vinyl, with T-shirt and video bundles, from the Post Religion Bandcamp . The description we got with this video is just too good not to mention, and it goes something like this: "a lo-fi internet Tumblr cult video game ∆∆∆ live action x 3-D goth [...]

Last spring, Ritualz released a short instrumental EP called Outworld Music I , the first in the series of EPs that find the producer exploring new experimental sounds, different than those heard on the regular Ritualz releases. Now, Outworld Music II is just around the corner: we have the first track off it right here, and the whole thing will be out next week on Ritualz Bandcamp . Volume 3 should follow soon, with the fourth and final one arriving in the summer. A proper Ritualz full-length is also in the works. Listen to "Pisces": [...]
So we've found another great new band from Portland. *Shocker*. Light House is a trio comprised of Chris Relyea, Dawn Sharp, and Brooks Blackhawk, and their blend of shoegaze atmospherics and dark synth sounds is right up our alley. The band's latest release, In Their Image EP, comes to us via Freee , a new project from the fine folks from Ecstasy consisting of, in their own words, music, literature and whatever else they feel like putting out. Watch the video for the stand-out track "The Walls Want Communion". If you can see this, then you might need a [...]

Dylan Ettinger kindly hooked us up with a digital version of his newest release the other day, and it quickly found itself on heavy rotation. Entitled Crucify Your Love , the cassette tape is out now on the mighty Night People label. The release features five new tracks, and sees Dylan Ettinger further developing his already-trademark quirky synth-pop sound, displayed on last year's excellent full-length Lifetime of Romance . Order Crucify Your Love here , and stream the closing track here: DylanEttinger .com . Tweet
Watch the new video for Black Pus ' latest single "1000 Years", taken off of his forthcoming LP All My Relations . Due out March 19 via Thrill Jockey , this is Brian Chippendale of Lightning Bolt's second solo effort. Chippendale made the "1000 Years" video himself, "scanning and animating those flipbooks" he had made "in 4th or 5th grade". Get ready for some disturbing images of physical violence and war! Now if you'll excuse me, I'll go watch the video again to try and figure out what the hell happened there. If you can see this, then you might [...]

After a string of mostly experimental and weird-ass guest mixes , we figured it was about time for one full-on party mix. Or, well, we didn't actually - we just asked MADDEN to do a guest mix and what he came up with sounds pretty much like a perfect soundtrack to a wild night out. That shouldn't be particularly surprising, considering that MADDEN has made a name for himself making interesting remixes for the likes of Bruxa and Men in Burka, as well as some wonderfully weird takes on pop hits. You should also [...]
Debut full-length from the Los Angeles-based act DVA Damas also marks the first release for Downwards America, the new imprint of Regis ' Downwards Records curated by Juan Mendez a.k.a. Silent Servant . Nightshade collects eight sparse post-punk gems from the duo of Taylor Burch and Joseph Cocherell and can be heard on their Soundcloud in its entirety. The album is now available digitally and on CD, with vinyl release to follow soon . And here's the video teaser in case you missed it the other day. LIKE Damas. [...]

I remember talking to Rado Z. from AMDISCS about him starting a label with his colleagues... That was in 2010, and it's great to see how far they've come in merely a couple of years. Their latest offering comes in the form of a massive two-piece free compilation ∜♡MDISCS 2K13 , which dropped today via Hartzine and Tiny Mix Tapes . Curated by Rado Z. and mixed by Mike Textbeak, the compilation features over seventy premieres "of the freshest upcoming music of 2K133. Find more info and download links here . Streaming below are a remix of Sand Circles ' "Innercity Haze", and a [...]

I wasn't planning on doing any Valentine's Day related posts, but then then I got hooked on this track that came up in my news feed along with the text "*~BRED IN BLACK~*♥ HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY ♥"... So, ugh, I guess I'll have to publicly aknowledge what date it is after all. The track in question is Skeletonkids ' "愛" in which the "screwgaze" act sample The Shangri-Las' pessimistic " Dressed in Black ", to unsurprisingly grim results. ~ How fucking romantic. ~ :* Skeleton likes . [...]

Our Berlin buddies Kool Thing have announced the details of their debut full-length release, and shared the lead single from it. The self-titled album consists of fourteen tracks, all of which are brand new except for the couple of already familiar gems, "Light Games" and "The Sign". Kool Thing is comes out in less than a month, on March 4th to be more precies, via the new label Mad Dog & Love Records . The first taste of the LP comes in the form of the powerful single "TV Tower", which you can listen to right here: Kool [...]

We first got acquainted with the London producer Felicita back in 2010 , although, as his former collaborator Palmistry so insightfully predicted , 2013 might be the year he steps his game up and starts receiveing more attention. Evidence #1: Felicita's new free release with an un-Google-able title (>'.')># . Streaming below is "Slavs Wi Sparkley Eyes", the gorgeous opening track which doesn't quite prepare you for the oddball electronic video-gamey sounds of the following three tunes. Download the whole EP here , oh, and don't let that bloody video clip confuse you. Face licita. [...]

We're more than happy to present you with a guest mix by the mighty Pete Swanson . His new EP, entitled Punk Authority and set for release on March 12 via Software, is now available for pre-order . If the fabulous first single "Life Ends at 303 is anything to go by, the forthcoming release may be his most exciting work to date. Here, Swanson delivers an expectedly unexpected selection of more and less obscure tracks from the realms of experimental, electronic, drone, noise, and contemporary classical music. He also includes a couple of [...]

The Italian label Mannequin is releasing a compilation of obscurities from various artists from around the world, including a couple of familiar names. Curated by Mushy , who happens to have recently made an excellent mix for yours truly, this collection shifts from minimal synth and coldwave to noisy and psychedelic stuff. The contributions from Deathday , Phosphor , and Police des Moeurs are streaming below, but I suggest you head over to Bandcamp and listen to the whole thing, especially those last few tracks. [...]
