Trevor Powers alias Youth Lagoon seems to like this magnificent (unofficial) music video for his song «Seventeen». He posted it to his Facebook page today, with «much love» to Kasey Lum , its creator. Really love it as well. Just like the song. mp3 | Seventeen

I won't say much about it: Just enjoy this new The Black Keys tune called "Lonely Boy" . Their new album El Camino will be out soon and "Lonely Boy" will also be released as a limited edition Record Store Day 12″ single on November 25 with the b-side "Run Right Back". stream | Lonely Boy

«Juke, hip hop, dubstep, electro-tropicalia, and '90s Gregorian trance». That's what Brooklyn-based Fatima Al Qadiri – born in Senegal and grown up in Kuwait – mixed up in her brand new Genre-Specific Xperience EP . The result sounds mostly spheric and ambient , but thanks to steel drum samples and other percussion it's also quite danceable . Listen to my favorite track off the EP, «Hip Hop Spa» , below. mp3 | Hip Hop Spa

After releasing A Sufi and a Killer in 2010 on Warp, Gonjasufi thought it was time to release some more music to the public, free of charge. Teaming up with Hydroshare.tv , Gonjasufi will be releasing an EP to the internet, filled with tracks that deserved to see the light of day. Like "EATFISH" , a Johnson&Jonson production, which functions as an abstract boom-bap pallet for Blu and Gonja to spray their complementary vocals all over. The Ninth Inning EP will be [...]

19-year-old starlet Charli XCX from London is back with a fantastic new jam called «Nuclear Seasons» . Dark pop at its finest. The song has premiered on BBC Radio 1 this evening. mp3 | Nuclear Seasons

Everbody's darling Claire Boucher a.k.a. Grimes is cementing her status as the next big thing in the indie music scene. After last year's releases Greidi Primes and Halfaxa and her Split-EP with D'Eon this year, Claire is now prepping her next full-length effort and gives away a first teaser: "Oblivion" is a hypnotic, bumping gem that is extremely catchy. This definitely makes me looking forward to the album. Visions will be out on January 31 via Arbutus . [...]

After their last year's effort New Chain , Brooklyn's Small Black are already recording their next album which should be out sometime next year. To make this time pass more quickly they've now announced a mixtape called Moon Killer . Download the M83-like and synth-driven title track below! Dupree and Maddy McFly are Sound Fx , a young hip-hop duo from California. After the release of an EP called Still Dreaming this summer, they have now already finished the recordings for their upcoming release The Sunset LP . «Get By» is a first track off it, which contains fresh lyrics and a pretty smooth beat. mp3 | Get By

Our friends from Oh, Sister Records took this magnificent live video at Dampfzentrale in Bern recently. It shows us Lucerne-based foursome Dans La Tente – we wrote about their new album here some weeks ago – performing their song «Yawn» . mp3 | Yawn

Check out the wonderful b-side to the new (and amazing) Girls single "Honey Bunny", out today via Fantasy Trashcan / Turnstile . It's called "Martina Martinez" . stream |
Our friends Field Studies (based in our hometown Lucerne) recently produced their first ever music video in coorporation with young art collective Detektiv Bureau . It's for the trio's song «Field Studies About Franz Gsellmann» off their toothbrush (!) album Pop Is Not Dead . Love these beautiful 360° panoramic tracking landscape shots, which go perfectly with the shoegazey indie pop song.

Let me have a look into the future: This young girl might easily be the next big thing of indie pop . Pauline a.k.a. Mina Tindle , young Paris native, has just released her first EP and will also support Alela Diane on her upcoming Europe tour. Describing Mina's music it's easy to compare her to Feist . Puerile seeming pop-tunes with the perfect addition of Mina's French accent. Make sure to keep an eye on this gorgeous girl, she might be big soon! [...]

Here's another song off Kurt Vile 's upcoming release So Outta Reach: «Life's A Beach» . Love its title and the song's pleasant and cheerful feeling. Release date of the EP is November 8. stream | Life's A Beach ___ Recently posted: mp3 | The Creature

Just recieved a mail with a brandnew song by London-based freak-folk-outfit Vadoinmessico . It's another beautiful, nostalgic tune which follows the way the band's pursued with their earlier singles "Curling Up Your Spine" and "Pepita Queen Of The Animals" . Download the song below. mp3 | Teeo
