In this post Jeremy addressed the fact that some songs just make you feel happy. For me, this is the case with of Montreal's Wraith Pinned to the Mist (and other games) . Introduced to me by my wife after she heard it on the radio and instantly loved it, the song's bouncy beat and bubbly bass-line make my head bob with glee (yay alliteration!). I really like this track. It reminds me a lot of No Kill No Beep Beep era Q and Not U...A LOT ...the whole post-punk, DC sound. Lots of bands since have tried this sound, but few have done it so well. The song's driving verses, stuttering bits, occasionaly doubled vocals, and "woo hoo woo hoos" result in a catchy rock tune that seems to get better with subsequent listens.
