Here's a new track off Curren$y's upcoming album, Weekend at Burnie's , which will be released June 28th on Warner Bros. The laid back beat was produced by Monsta Beatz, who handled a lot of the production on Curren$y's 2008 album, This Ain't No Mixtape . Curren$y's signature winding flow and charismatic southern growl is on point as usual. Evidently, there is some "Wizard of Oz / Dark Side of the Moon-style sync-up of Weekend at Burnie's and the film that inspired it, 19892s Weekend at Bernie's, is in the works and will hit the web soon" [...]

New CYSY song released yesterday that will feature on their upcoming album, Hysterical , out in September. Catchy tune and the strings are a nice touch. Give up your email for the song or stream it below.

Full props to The Music Ninja for bringing my attention to this mind numbingly addicting track from Swedish artist Tove Styrke . Sweede met sweede as the track was later remixed by Familjen . The song is a bit dated (from 2010), but it's worth reposting to get you through hump day. Start humming along. MP3: Tove Styrke: Million Pieces (Familjen Remix)
Check out the official video for Bon Iver's "Calgary." Have you heard the whole album yet? Stream it here ... its worth it.

If you enjoy The Lord Of The Rings , be prepared to clean out your underwear. Some guy who calls himself Pogo has made a song entirely out of sounds from the LotR movies... and the result is pretty damn catchy. If you like this track head on over to his website to hear more. He remixes everything from Winnie The Pooh to The Wizard of Oz. Color me impressed. MP3: Pogo: Murmurs From Middle Earth

We never tire of a good RAC remix and as usual they chose their base song well. Something about Charlie Fink's harmonies work perfectly with RAC's styling. Download the track below. MP3: Noah And The Whale: Tonight's The Kind Of Night (RAC Remix)

If you're reading this then you already know. Psychedelic pop is back in a big way. Supporters of this movement must check out Canopies . I don't know much about the band as this is their first EP, but their music definitely speaks for itself. Head on over to bandcamp to download. Listen on SoundCloud

Here's a track that first surfaced at Mr. West's impromptu freestyle session at Facebook HQ a while back. With his quick-witted lyrical punch lines and vocal hook laced over the soulful production, the song has that old-school, College Dropout Kanye flavor. MP3: Kanye West: Mama's Boyfriend

New single from Nas off his upcoming album Life Is Good. Enjoy those DJ tags for now (via Funk Flex ). MP3: Nas: Nasty
So much new music, so little time. Check out this new Florence song off of her yet to be titled sophomore album. Sounds epic to me.

Ford & Lopatin (formerly GAMES) release a song called Too Much MIDI in which they use nothing but MIDI ( its like 10,000 spoons when all you need is a knife ). I could totally get down to this. MP3: Ford & Lopatin: Too Much MIDI (Please Forgive Me)

While it's only my fourth or fifth favorite city in Lebanon, Beirut remains my favorite horn laced Balkan influenced indie band. Zach Condon and co. released a new single early this week and announced a new album, The Rip Tide , out August 30th. Stream the single below. "East Harlem" Listen on SoundCloud

I'm a little late hyping White Denim's newest album but considering that D ( Downtown Records ) has not left my car deck for over two weeks now I figure it's worth mentioning. Everything I love is here; rocking rhythm section, heavy riffs, swirling guitars, and hooks that always seem to hit you in the right place. Simply put, D is an explosive, tightly constructed garage/psychedelic rock tour de force. These guys are guareenteed to knock you off your seat. Download a couple tracks off of D below and support Austin, TX group by purchasing their album [...]

Atlas Genius is... well genius. Sporting riffs in the vein of Phoenix, this troop of Aussies is the newest addition to my "Repeat Til Death" playlist. These guys are going places for sure. Listen below. MP3: Atlas Genius: Trojans
After releasing their newest song last Friday, Coldplay have already given us a better preview of their forthcoming 5th LP. Although the new songs are live, they sounds pretty good. I've always been a believer that the band sounds awesome live in person but horrible live on video... so I'll take it as a good sign that these don't sound like shit. Check out 4 new songs titled Hurts Like Heaven, Major Minus, Us Against The World, & Princess of China.

The Slaughterhouse MC released this DJ Premier-produced track Sunday. Royce's upcoming album Success is Certain is set for a July 26th release on Gracie Productions . MP3: Royce da 5'93: Second Place

Megafaun's Phil Cook recently got a taste of the limelight performing with former bandmate Justin Vernon on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon . While Cook took to the piano in that performance, his virtuosity really shines when he plays the guitar or banjo. Cook's latest collection, Hungry Mother Blues, is filled with unadorned, yet colorful, acoustic instrumentals. Highly reminiscent of guitar legend John Fahey , the set is perfect for back porch lounging on a lazy summer morning. Stream the entire album below and download the track "Ballad of a Hungry Mother" over at [...]
The Brooklyn-based British band Alberta Cross released this new video for their single, Money for the Weekend. It was directed by Academy Award Nominee David O. Russell, who is best known for his film work on The Fighter and Three Kings . The video's raw back-lighting and single-shot camera work makes for a stunning visual juxtaposition against Alberta Cross' infectious guitar riffs and heavy, intricate drums. The hazy, blues inspired rock song is reminicent of My Morning Jacket and The Raconteurs, while lead singer Petter Stakee's haunting voice can be likened to an interesting blend [...]
