Luxury Liners is the new musical project from singer-songwriter and guitarist Carter Tanton. Tanton has been a member of Lower Dens and has performed and recorded with Boston singer-songwriter Marissa Nadler. He released his solo album, Freeclouds , in 2011. While out on tour with Lower Dens, Tanton began work on his new project focusing less on guitar based music and more on the use of samples and electronics. During a recent trip to his hometown of Austin, TX blues / rock musician Gary Clark Jr. stopped by KUTX , pizza in hand, to perform a pair of acoustic songs from his 2012 full-length Blak and Blu . As The Swollen Fox shared earlier this morning, Vampire Weekend have shared a lyric video for another new song off of their upcoming Modern Vampires of the City LP. In the video, the lyrics of "Ya Hey" appear over scenes of seemingly ritualistic champagne-popping. Vampire Weekend will release the new album on May 14th, followed by an appearance at the Firefly Festival in Delaware on June 21-23. Tickets and information can be found here .
