Here's the third vignette from hometown heroes  Imaginary Cities , who have been teasing their forthcoming record,  Fall Of Romance , over the past month with brief, cryptic clips soundtracked by mere snippets of new tracks (check out the first two  here  and here ). This particular Guy Madden-inspired video waxes on the peculiar passage of time, as a rather austere-looking woman watches her own reflection slip away before her eyes. It's all soundtracked to the appropriately-titled " Still Waiting ," a cut washed in a sea of blissful horns and tidally lapping harmonies. [...]

Here's a brand new track from Montreal outfit  Braids , who are following up what was one of our favourite records from 2011 with a brand new 123. In Kind // Amends   is out June 11, and takes both its sides from the band's forthcoming sophomore LP that's due out later this year on Arbutus Records . A-side "Amends" is a thickly atmospheric series of tightly-knit loops that has quite a bit in common with Raphaelle Standell-Preston's work in Blue Hawaii . Stream it above. The post [...]

Disco Naïveté weren't messing around when they said they got the drop on something special — Baby Alpaca 's first track off their forthcoming debut EP is an impressively cunning number that we've had on repeat all morning. It's understandable if you want to be dismissive of a band called "Baby Alpaca" in 2013, but "Sea of Dreams" is so slyly constructed and flawlessly executed that you'd just be doing yourself a disservice. Rhythmless and minimal to the point of being practically barren, the track drifts weightlessly over the gentle undercurrent of Chris Kittrell [...]
