Sally Shapiro 's outstanding  Somewhere Else LP is out next week (stream it early here ), and here we have a skittering, dizzy remix of one of the record's best cuts: the sumptuous  Electric Youth collab "Starman."  Henning Fürst  (formerly one half of Swedish legend  The Tough Alliance  and also responsible for the blissful production on Taken By Trees' Other Worlds ) slices the original into tightly circuited loops, stacking them on top of each other in strange, prog-disco shapes. Rhye 's sensual slow jam " Open " remains one of our favourite tracks from 2012, so delicately constructed that it felt like it might collapse in on itself at any given moment. So while remixing it should have resulted in total disaster, under the deft hand of Ryan Hemsworth we've instead got this glistening edit that somehow matches the gentle euphoria of the original. Young Galaxy 's superb fourth LP  Ultramarine  isn't out for a few more months, but the second Dan Lissvik -assisted jam has already surfaced to help make the wait feel just a little bit shorter. Where first single " Pretty Boy " slowly took flight, "Fall For You" immediately towers, built on a foundation of circuited island rhythms and propelled upward by Catherine McCandless' flawless, incendiary vocals. And while Lissvik's tropical vibes are more out front here than they have been in the past, the band embraces them wholly, as if they've been doing so for years. Cæcilie Trier, better known as  CTM , is responsible for one of the best track's of last year , and is now capitalizing on that demonstrated potential with her debut EP  Variations , a gauzy, captivating collection of 80s pop hommages that's out now on  Tambourhinoceros . Brolin continues along his excellent string of city-themed tracks with this new one, "Reykjavik," taken from his debut EP  Cundo that's out March 25 via  Double Denim . Spacey and slight, this one doesn't have much in common with its namesake, except perhaps for the chilly expanse that wraps up the whole thing. Doldrums   just quietly dropped a solid new track via Twitter- "Golden Calf," a bouncy, pitchy one that's as auspiciously catchy as it is weird (but probably pretty tame by Doldrums standards).
