Sorry I haven't posted in a while, it's been a busy week, but I do have a few gems I picked up from BLOC. The first, a highlight of Laurent Garnier's LBS live show, the second, a track that Joy Orbison played that took me a while to find, and the last I don't quite remember who played, but it was written down in my phone, and I'm definitely happy it was. Enjoy. Also, make sure to check the blog in the next few days, because I've an exclusive interview with Munchi coming up! [...]

I know you might think it's Saturday, but in fact, I'm writing this on a Thursday and giving it a post-dated publish time, seeing as I'll be at BLOC ! Anyway, I've a real treat for you. Two very nice tech-house remixes I came across today. One masterpiece of a remix of James Blake, and one of the nicest XX remixes I've ever heard. Grab a remix of the XX but the download limit hits! Enjoy. James Blake - CMYK (eLDOKO Remix) [...]

I love the Jamie XX remix of Adele. But, it's nice to have a change, and this is indeed a very nice change. Lovely remix, and very different to the Jamie XX shuffle that I, and many people are so used to hearing. Adele - Rolling In The Deep (Cousin Cole Remix) This is one of those remixes I really didn't expect. When I saw the title I didn't really believe it, but yes, it actually is an Oliver Huntemann remix of Do It [...]

Oh the joys of Soundcloud. I firmly believe that Soundcloud is one of the best things to happen to the spread of music, and to young and unknown producers in recent history. Browsing through Soundcloud led me to these two great moombahton edits. Be sure to look out of Ckrono and Booty Shakerz in future! Samim - Heater (Ckrono Moombahton Edit) Fat Joe - Lean Back (Booty Shakerz Moombahton Edit)

It's Saturday. I know. But I think I might start a weekly tech-house post on Tuesdays, so this is a test run. Also the second track is a lot closer to techno, but don't mind that. Two very tasty tracks from Pleasurekraft's charts if I remember correctly, check them on Beatport. NiCe7 - Point (Audiojack Remix) Wehbba - The Speech (Original Mix)

Here are my three picks from Brodinski's 'European Introduction to Moombahton', which I only just got around to listening to. Not a great compilation in my eyes, coming at moombahton from a very much electro-house perspective isn't a great thing in my opinion, but a few nice tracks on it nevertheless. Heartbreak - Grown Man Shit Bassanovva - Chicken Lover (Munchi Remix) Munchi - Gracias

Here are two very big tracks that I'm seriously hyped for. The SBTRKT track gets a release on 11th April 2011 on Young Turks, and no date has been announced yet for the Dark Sky remix. SBTRKT - Living Like I Do Dark Sky - Promiscuous Gyal So you have something to go home with, here's a big track by Tessela! Enjoy. Tessela - Push

This tune is in my iTunes, labelled Abstracked - Bits. However, there are no Google, Youtube, Elbo.ws, or Hypem search results for it, so I'm quite confused. What is this tune? Is it a mislabel? Abstracked - Bits

This is a freebie taster of Round Table Knights new album given away by Made To Play. Cat Power - Say What (Round Table Knights Remix) I'm not going to talk much about these two tracks, because I'm wrecked. I woke up this morning with this in my hair: That kind of explains why I'm so tired. What I will say is go read one of my favourite blogs, You Can Call Me Pelski . [...]

Dusty Springfield, tasty house beats, what more do you want. Joyce Muniz - Spooky Dusty Young lad Bowski keeps up his amazing form with a great remix of one of my favourite Boy 8-Bit track. Grab it. Boy 8-Bit - The Keep (Bowski Remix) And simply because it's a beast, here's Blue Moon, in all its 1961 glory. The Marcels - Blue Moon
For The Human League's new album, Credo, which along with this remix will be also released March 21st, Aeroplane has done a remix of Never Let Me Go. Peep it.

This weekend is going to be big. On Thursday we're back in the Bernard Shaw with one of my favourite Dublin bands, Mob Fandango. A ten piece funk band that always tears the house down. The Forward/Slash gig is in anticipation of the upcoming Dig EP, which features this monster. Check the event page for more information. After Forward/Slash of course we have Chewn, this week featuring the excellent Chewy, who is for sure one of my favourite Dublin DJs. I still hold DJing with him on Stephen's Day in the Bernard [...]

Tonight is going to be a very big night! Firstly, a return to Forward/Slash after a brief gap, with two acts I'm very excited about. Peaks, who I've met to get down to the Shaw for a long time, and Westway Flyover, who were so good last time I just had to ask them to return! It'll also be a chance for me to get to play some Odd Future. Check the event here ! OFWGKTA - Orange Juice Then it's onto Chewn! [...]

I'm not quite sure what to say about these tracks, or why I made them. But, I like music to have a sense of humour to it, and these two tracks, especially the Spice Girls one, is definitely an example of that. At least in my eyes... I think that .gif expresses things better than I can. Enjoy, or at least laugh. Soulja Boy x Emalkay - When I Crank That (Frankie Grimes Mashup) Spice Girls x Datsik [...]

Munchi posted a huge post over on Generation Bass recently all about bubbling, and I've just got to go over the music. Bubbling was what dutch house stemmed from, and so there is lots of it which is quite obviously dutch, with high dutch synths, but there is also lots of it without it, more percussion based, which I'm really digging. It's generally around 135 - 140 BPM, with tropical reggaeton rhythms, and very percussion focused. He said there's a 'part 22 post about Bubbling on the way, so be sure to look out for that. Benny [...]

I'm not going to say much about it, but here's my new EP. Chilled out moombahton, but still club friendly. I hope you like it. Years ago my parents went to Cuba for a few weeks, and brought back a load of Cuban music. At the time I loved it, and listened to all the albums over and over again. But since then the music has lain dormant in my iTunes for unknown reasons. Since discovering moombahton, cumbia and all the rest, I realised that I had this library of amazing Caribbean music in my iTunes, so I started listening to it again. Compared to modern moombahton, cumbia and tropical music, the rhythm and soul of these tradition tracks is so effortless, so real, and so inspiring. I can't [...]

Huge bass, ghetto house vocals, what more do you need. Big new track on Clap Your Hands by Rafael Kakudo. Pick up the whole release here . Rafael Kakudo - Work As a bonus, here's another beautiful gem by Throwing Snow, I'm addicted to this. Photomachine - Technicolour (Throwing Snow Remix)
