English trio Saint Etienne just released this cover of “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” by the Beach Boys, and I grimaced my way through the beginning, thinking it was a sappy, campy take. But it picks up some speed and is kind of catchy towards the end.  It definitely can’t match the original, but…what do you all think?

Conner Youngblood’s new single is no disappointment. “Proportions,” the latest addition to the Yale-goer’s growing collection of blogosphere hits, features echoing snaps (who’s not a fan of echoing snaps??) and his familiarly airy vocal line. Its simplicity feeds into a sense of profundity that doesn’t let you go until the track is over.
