Absolute joyous, infectious gold that will lead us towards a better tomorrow. Their sophomore record Ice On the Dune is due out [...]

The husband/wife duo of The Manticores have shared their second single “Mouth Feeder”. The track is a crunchy dreampop excursion on to the beach, where the floating vocals of Sarah & Jesse will lift you away. Love how perfectly structured the guitars sound on this. The band describe “the sound is somewhere between Radiohead and St. Vincent”, and I whole-heartedly agree with that. Download below.

The star power of this girl is undeniable, and the crossover appeal is equally impressive. Listen to a [...]

Leeds indie-pop act Just Handshakes are set to release their debut album Say it, May 20th via Bleeding Gold Records. Today, we have a stream of a new track from it called “Bright Lights”. The track feels like a rebirth after some great disaster has occurred as the world tries to get back on it’s feet. It’s an easygoing sway full of gorgeously mellow melodies and swooning synths that promises us things are actually better on the other side. You’ll feel a little warmer in the inside after a listen.

Out of nowhere, Frank Ocean has released the video for Channel Orange standout “Lost”. The nostalgic looking clip follows Ocean on tour showing off the unheard of success he had starting from last year. As the man remains such an enigma, it’s nice to have a peek inside of his life for a few minutes.

Before the release of their Patterns EP next week, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. release it’s joyous second single “Hiding”. This shout out loud chorus is one for the ages. Patterns will be out next via through Warner Bros.

Denver’s Ancient Mariner aka Gabriel Jorgensen has created an enchanting and organic environment through his recent single “Acedia”. So I’ve heard around 14,563 songs so far in 2013, and I can safely say that out of all of them, nothing has blown me away more than Lexy & the Kill ’s official debut single “We Can Dance Alone”. After you regain consciousness followi ng one listen, be ready to take an hour out of your day to put this on repeat. While I’ve already shared my unabashed love for this group, my infatuation is taken to new, unreachable heights with this. Gigantic, pounding drums lay the groundwork for this explosive runaway romance as it prepares us [...]

Arguably, North London’s Wolf Alice are the most talked about act currently in England and for many good reasons. Following up their hitmaker “Fluffy”, is this brand new single “Bros”. This is without question, their best song to date, and I believe this is the track that will made take them international superstars. Their tender, yet overly infectious blend of grunge-pop is on full display here, making us fall harder in love with Ellie Rowsell and her warming vocals every second. This band is the one, guys. Pre-order [...]

Even though this track was released several months ago, we must never let the face of instant buzz get in the way of finding a brilliant song, no matter how old it is. Pigeons and Planes got us hooked on British singer/producer Bipolar Sunshine . It’s something that needs to be heard to understand the whole picture and how much of a big deal this can be.

Any day I get to hear the luscious vocals of my forever crush Zooey Deschanel, I’m a happy camper. So it brings great pleasure to share the latest She & Him track “I Could’ve Been Your Girl”. Even though, it’s about missed opportunities and heartbreak, I can’t help but smile throughout to the mid-tempo swoon. The new record Volume 3 will be out May 7th on Merge.

Producer Boy In A Kung Fu Movie (awesome name) has sent over his debut track “Change You”. Light as the clouds, and inspiring to the highest degree, this is your musical meditation for the day. This emotive journey can only be capped off by a quote from Bruce Lee that the producer handpicked himself. “Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless - like water. Be water, my friend”.

Finland’s greatest hope to take over the world, Satellite Stories have dropped their uptempo new single “Scandinavian Girls”. The single will be out next week on Crystalline Records.

Never thought I would ever see the day when Manchester Orchestra and Grouplove would collaborate on a track together. But then I remembered of a little thing called Record Store Day where the most unlikely of splits and teaming ups happen and it all made sense. The track “Make It To Me” is an electronic genre-blending extravaganza that really compliments the strengths of both bands at play. The expert pop sensibilities of Grouplove coupled with the dark, introspective lyrics from Manchester really give this a unique spin. [...]
