AlunaGeorge 's track "Attracting Flies" is no stranger to a vast amount of remixes in the last month or so, but now Scotland's S-Type is giving the song his own spin. Previously we heard a massive trap mix from Baauer , which might have been the biggest remix the song saw at the time. Yet, I feel like S-Type might of outdone him on this, although it has a different sound from the high energy trap version. On this one, we find the track slowed down and other effects added in, [...]

Over the past year or so, we've shared with you guys some upbeat indie-pop from UK band Athletes in Paris . As they have continued to make music and expand up on their collection of tunes, the time has finally come for a new album, which is called Head Bowl Custard . Interesting album title, but it did standout and catch my attention. Although the album name might get you to wonder about them, the music will keep listening as the 9 tracks are filled with great energy. Catchy grooves and sing-a-long lyrics should hook any indie-pop [...]

Here's a new one from the anonymous, experimental electronic artist As I Am . The track is called "Lift Your Eyes To The Sky" and it's a moody, chill instrumental track that, according to the artist himself, is supposed to have a Spring vibe. This is probably one of the best tracks I've heard from As I Am and it has some really nice production. Check out As I Am 's new website to read the artist's take on this and many of his other tracks. He also mentioned something on the site and [...]

Sometimes adding a bit of mystery to the music is all it takes to spark some interest, but it also takes good songs to keep people intrigued. UK trio London Grammar has both aspects and they find themselves becoming quite popular because of it. Their new single "Wasting My Young Years" is from their forthcoming album, which should be out sometime later this year. But for now, you can consume yourself in this stunning new track below. Fresh? So UK indie/alt band Coasts released another great single called "Wallow" the other day and already followed that up with a new video for it. The bands' superstar potential is clearly there and the few tracks they have shared so far have been nothing short of brilliant. On this visual, they keep things pretty simple as the camera pans around as the band performs the song with some nice lighting effects. Remember on May 20th to grab their Paradise EP. Fresh? [...]
If there is anyone that is consistently a champ at mixes and remixes RAC is certainly it. The mastermind, André Allen Anjos, collectively has over 200 tracks of remixes under his belt and each one he touches embellishes a different genre, showing the versatility of what he can take on. The latest mix is of the indie track "Laura Palmer" by Bastille. You find the relaxing vocals guiding the track as the subtle guitars and catchy drum beat keeps things in full motion. The energy levels are not as aggressive at some of the [...]

Creativity comes in all shapes and forms, and with music I tend to enjoy when people are trying something new or are working on cool things. like Black Milk , who released his latest album called Synth or Soul , the first project in his Fuzz, Freqs & Colors (FFC) series collaboration with Upendo “Pen” Taylor . This project series is combining art and music into one -- two things I think always go together so well. This first part is 12 tracks of solid production from Black Milk , which you should enjoy. [...]

Just the other day Rockie Fresh released " Panera Bread " and now he is back again with a song called "Rollin" featuring Gunplay and production from frequent Kid Cudi collaborator Dot Da Genius . Both rappers spit about their lives and keep things entertaining. One aspect that I really like about Rockie Fresh is the production choices he makes from working with Lunice to now Dot Da Genius, it mixes up his sound a lot more. You'll find this song on his upcoming mixtape, The [...]

The young rapper from Maryland Logic is having a great 2013 so far. Not only was he chosen as one of the emcee's featured in XXL 's Freshman cover, but he also recently signed a deal with Def Jam . That is some big news and well-deserved as he has been grinding hard for the past few years. To celebrate the good fortunes, he released "Roll Call" his version of Outkast 's "Ms. Jackson." This version features no hooks and finds Logic spittin' straight through with some clear messages. Stream below. Fresh? [...]

Right now, it's pretty much impossible to stop the creative streak that Ryan Hemsworth is on with his music and remixes. The latest is of Outkast' "Return of the 'G," which was from the Atlanta rap duo's Aquemini album. This was requested from French magazine Pure Baking Soda , and the Canadian producer deliver a slow and trippy remix, giving the usually energetic Outkast a laid back vibe. Stream and download below. Fresh? [...]

For the past few months singer and songwriter Sid Sriram has been working on his first half of the West Coast Night Fall project called Before Dusk . Up to this point we had a taste or two of what he had in store for us, but now the first part is available to stream and download. With this project, Sid even got to show some production chops and have more involvement than what a typical artist might have. What you will find in this free EP was best said in the email: [...]

Bronx emcee Doley Bernays is someone to keep watching and his latest video for "Raise Your Weapon" is a Deadmau5 sampled track off his forthcoming EP. This video release follows his most recent song " Bad Guy ," which was a gritty track. This one attempts to show a different side of Doley and his flow, hitting a different perspective and making you think about what his raps mean. The song features NYC native D enzil Porter who adds in some nice bars to the MP Williams production (who also directed [...]

Last week I had some time to sit around and ponder a few things about not only my music blog, but music blogging in general. If you are an avid reader of the site or a random glancer (not a word, but I'm using it), you might of noticed my post count went down big time. Well, on top of being sick and not feeling like sitting at the computer, I was wondering the actual value I was bringing to readers. I guess I was feeling sort of like a robot just posting a song and feeling like it was [...]

That sex-pop trio from Pennsylvania, Night Panther , released a new video for their song "Lioness" the other day and the fierce track needed something to visually match it's appeal. For this single they found it fitting to put together a homage to some of their favorite B-Movie fight films and stars. The style and overall storyline accomplishes just that and was shot and directed by bass player Jon Anderson and singer Farzad Houshiarnejad. Watch below and immerse yourself in the world they created. Fresh? [...]

Having released an EP called Trust earlier this year, UK electronic music maker Gold Panda released "Brazil," his first single off the forthcoming sophomore record Half of Where You Live. With the first new song from the album, you'll hear a layer of synths, instruments, and vocal loops that combined form a stellar new single. The UK producer's new album is set for a June 11th release date via Ghostly International and should feature 11 new tracks. Check out "Brazil" below. Fresh? [...]

Once again, André Allen Anjos of the Remix Artist Collective (RAC) is back with a new ridiculously good remix of Capital Cities "Safe And Sound." The original is a fun tune and was released almost two years ago, yet the track is still gaining steam as it was featured in a recent commercial and is even making a splash on the Billboard Top Alternative charts. And now thanks to RAC , I think even more people might look up the original (which you all should). This was commissioned by Capital Cities [...]

People are still a bit skeptical of Chicago rapper Rockie Fresh , but I've been enjoying most of his material and think he has a bright future. His latest release called "Panera Bread" finds the young MMG signed emcee on a beat provided by Lunice and features Rick Ross , who has been involved in a bit of controversy for a recent lyric. Yet, the trio put together something fresh and was released as a celebratory track for Rockie's 22nd birthday. You'll want to turn your bass and volume up for this one, because Lunice [...]

If you are not an avid Thundercat listener, then you need to get with the program because this dude has one unique ass sound. If you need some proof let his "Heartbreaks + Setbacks" ease you into the soulful/electro-funk sound. This new song will be on the album Apocalypse which will be out July 9th via Brainfeeder and is the follow-up to his 2011 record, The Golden Age Of Apocalypse. On this new joint, I'm digging the emotion and harmonies that he packs into this and is easily one of his best [...]

Over the past year, California hip hop duo Sound FX has be working on their EMPATHY project, which embarks on their music journey since they started releasing music to the masses over a year ago. We have heard a few tracks so far and even seen some new visuals, but alas the full project is here and ready to download. This process has also mentally drained the duo, who will be taking a break from their creative process. Yet, I'm sure this will hold you over for now and the two will be back before we [...]

In a search for great music to share, sometimes other blogs just have us beat and that is part of the way it works. Nothing wrong with that, since I'm all about the discovery of great music and could careless if I'm first or where I found it. So on this one I have to shout out Pigeons & Planes because British band Phoria and their latest Bloodworks EP is stellar. I probably would never really have discovered these guys without glancing over their blog this morning so kudos! Anyway, Phoria and [...]
