Wolfgang Gartner – Love & War Wolfgang Gartner has been blowing up for some time now, so it’d be common for some one in his position to try to “milk it” by putting out “safe” tracks to keep the buzz alive (looking at you Avicii). But considering the title of his new single, Love & War, I don’t think “safe” is in this man’s vocabulary. Of course there are some familiar sounds that are iconic to a WG track, but the theme and delivery is way more dramatic. Like every good song, [...]

In this post, I will be listing six tracks in order of their intensity. Starting off with two superb remixes of one of my favorite Daft Punk tracks. Still reminds me of one of the saddest scenes in the history of cinema. If you haven’t already seen Interstella 5555, here you go . Ok my bad, got Daft Punk crazy there for a sec. The rest of the playlist is beast, including a super track by Save the Rave and a Seven Lions Remix of one of my favorite Tritonal songs. #GetEscalated Also [...]

If there’s a better “after” music fest video than the annual Tomorrowland series, I haven’t seen it. Every single year, the folks over at Tomorrowland are able to craft a ridiculously entertaining recap of that year’s festival that never disappoints. This year’s mix includes tracks from Pendulum, Dimitri Vegas, Swedish House Mafia, Dirty South, Chuckie and more. The complete tracklist is below, and we’ll update this post with a downloadable mix as soon as possible. [...]

I am proud to present our first ever P&B podcast. We will be doing one mix every week until the end of time. Since we recognize the vastness of EDM and it’s many sub-genres, we have decided to focus on a different EDM style each week. This week, has made us a “hard hitting” Electro House mix featuring tremendous bangers. These mixes are exclusively for the P&B massive so enjoy! P&B [...]

These are my favorite sets from Electric Zoo 2012. I didn’t go this year as I had a previous commitment to Netsky at Middle East Downstairs in Cambridge and what a show! Luckily his E-Zoo set was almost identical so definitely have a listen. Amongst the other notable sets, we have Mord Fustang (of course), Morgan Page, Congorock, Destructo, A-trak. Enjoy! Congorock I love this set! When you get to work or your favorite study spot, press play on this [...]

Yeezy and Dos Cadenas link up for what’s possibly (definitely) the best music video of 2012. Debate me if you want, but you know it’s Truuuuuuu !! I was tepid on this track before, but the visuals of midgets and big booty hoes running around together at 2 Chainz’s birthday really brought it home for me. This video also brought up a crucial question; whose adlib is better: Yeezy’s Haaaaannnhhh or 2 Chainz’s Truuuuuuu ?? [...]

Though A$AP Rocky’s album was pushed back ‘til Halloween, the infamous Harlem collective known as A$AP MOB have blessed us with their new mixtape, Lords Never Worry. Features from Raekwon, Gunplay, Danny Brown and Fat Trel, and production from Clams Casino and AraabMuzik. Track list and download link below: Download Link

It is with a great satisfaction for me to present the following news to the P&B collective. DAFT PUNK IS BACK! Rumors in the blogosphere have led us to believe that Daft Punk will be making their glorious return to the people next summer. The tour will be called “no end” and it will probably feature that new stuff they’ve been working on with producer Niles Rodgers. Mr. Rodgers (hehe) went on to say that the highly anticipated album is “…as good as anything he’s ever done.” [...]

First and foremost, I want to say that Tim Berg “Avicii” is an amazing producer and musician, but this song Levels has got to stop! I remember hearing it back at Ultra 2011 and being absolutely blown away. But it’s almost 2013 now and I’m still hearing this shit at every corner. There ain’t no lingering in EDM, we evolve quickly and with purpose. This track came and went a year ago, why is everyone still playing that shit!? I like to reminisce as much as the next person, but there are other tracks, nay, BETTER tracks than AviciiLevels. Let [...]

I heard about these guys from a friend who saw them at EDC NYC. I’m not one for listening to 2 hour Tech-House mixes, but this one grabbed me from the very beginning. Firstly, the mixing is flawless, and their use of old-school tracks (Beachball, Lethal Industry, Flash) blew me away. It’s no doubt that these guys love the classics and aren’t afraid to educate their audience. If anyone read A-trak’s article that came out a couple weeks ago, you’d know it’s not always about dropping the new hotness, it’s also about being creative and playing to the [...]

It’s been a while since my last post, so I’m just gonna drop some mixes that I hold very close to my heart. Starting off with a throwback from one of the biggest names in DnB in the past 10 years. He’s one of the driving powers behind Hospital Records and commands immense respect as a DJ and producer. This mix he made back in 2003 is one of my favorites and I need ya’ll to have a listen. Enjoy. #StraightOuttaCardiff! [...]

‘ Everything is purple… Dat PMF drops the first visual for the upcoming A$AP MOB album, Lords Never Die, due August 28th. The video, directed by Rocky himself, is basically a sensuous orgy of white women, along with some shots of some bad bitches in a Bentley. And there’s some coke. And there’s some dirty Sprite. [...]
