It's been two months since Japan's devastating earthquake and tsunami, and support from artists around the world has been astounding. Example: Freelance Whales have put together a Benefit for Japan EP with all benefits going to aid disaster victims. RaRaRiot is one of six artists that contributed to the EP, remixing the group's track Hannah , adding some synth elements and slowing it down to a more chill version of the original. You can download the track for free over at RCRDLBL , but be sure to purchase the EP on Freelance [...]

It seems like forever ago since I first heard Pumped Up Kicks from this LA group . They've been so quiet since that I thought that was going to be the only hit they would produce. Quiet that is until recently, in which they've been garnering much attention from the blog world, doing a great job in creating hype for their forthcoming album titled Torches , set to drop May Two Four. I for one am pretty excited for the release, and judging by all the fantastic remixes of the group [...]

This post goes out to one of my favourite people in the world whose birthday I forgot yesterday. Ashley in Toronto - this one's for you. Now I'm going to state the obvious here by saying that the above image is undoubtedly disturbing, but that doesn't take away from the fact that this Fare Soldi Crazy in Love remix is amazing. Obviously it must be because it has the Frico Disco duo's unique sound all over it. Beyoncè - Crazy in love (Fare Soldi "Chiapponzilla" [...]
Alright boys and girls, Oliver has called on you to help them decide which of their unfinished and unmastered tracks they should complete and release. After listening to this radio tuned teaser, I can only conclude with a plea, release them all! We would love a brand new Oliver EP, and I know we're not alone in that notion. Peep the embed, and be sure to show them your comments! Oliver - 79.1FM by weareoliver And if you haven't [...]

Hailing from Sydney, B-R-A-V-E (Maia Witika) has a philosophy we could all use from time to time: "Chill out, Life's A Beach" And you can hear that philosophy with every track on his SoundCloud, excellent soulful funky house jams with a disco touch, pleasantly projecting images of Australian beaches through my mind. Here's his most recent upload, you should definitely check out his other work when this track ends. Enjoy. The Wave - B-R-A-V-E by B-R-A-V-E [...]

Welcome back everyone. Hope your couple days of freedom were great, now that we're back to our daily grind, let's start the week off with a wonderfully chill groove to ease us through the day. Stumbled on this while scouring through the endless depths of SoundCloud, and by the first minute into the song, I just started feeling great. This is CSLSX (or CSL SX by their myspace), and I know nothing about them/him/her. Based out of Philly is about all I could gather from the internet, but by the amount of plays this [...]

Salut et bonjour! Aujourd'hui je voudrais écrire une partie de mon post en français – pas pour pratiquer (bien que je dois pratiquer) mais à remercier nos suiveurs Parisians – le plus grand groupe de tous nos trafic sur remix86. I know we've been talking a lot about Les Loups as of late, but it's only because they're just so amazingly good at what they do. I heard this track a few weeks ago now, and I couldn't not post it. Check out the boys' official remix of Alex Winston's Sister Wife, and then [...]
Knight One first sent us his work back in March , and I was blown away that I hadn't heard of him before, probably because we were the first blog to post his tracks.... But fortunately for everyone, it seems he's been quite busy as of late, making absolutely bangin' disco house joints. Here's his most recent upload, a remix of France's KorgBrain . Put your head cans on, and get ready to dance a whole bunch when dem horns kick in. Enjoy. KorgBrain - " Love [...]

Good morning everybody, hope your doing alright this week and if not, at least Friday's almost here. Bit of excitement around here yesturday, Dutch producer Loopalike uploaded the teaser for his latest single EP Lucy P and it is brimming with talent. Soon to be released via the prestigious Indo Silver Records , this Extended Play features work from Over The Top , Lebatman , Knight One , Tightshirt and Ecxellior . French Horn Rebellion are on fire lately, and we've got two hot new remixes to share with you this morning. First check out their Newsboys' Born Again remix. This track definitely has an 80s touch feel, but still has a kind of electro pop vibe. Makes sense given that Newsboys were a mid-80s Christian pop rock band. Newsboys "Born Again" (French Horn Rebellion Remix) by French Horn Rebellion Now have a listen to their Two Door [...]
Need to feel good this morn? Add some dreamy nu disco to your cup o' coffee and you'll be just fine. French duo Jamaica first caught my attention when Breakbot remixed their indie dance track "I Think I Like U23. And as a band, they're good, not fully my cup of tea, but the remixes that they spawn are just incredible. And now, fellow countryman Tepr gives us his heavenly take on Jericho with excellent synth background and super attractive lead, this one is gonna last through the [...]
2 months ago, Louis La Roche released this single via Ever After , and somehow I completely missed German based Digitalfoxglove's take on the track. As opposed to the Vanguard remix, this one stays near to the original tempo. Smooth synth stabs compliment the vocals really well and he piques energy at the end with the lead guitar. Bravo. Louis La Roche feat. Yann Destal - My Turn (Digitalfoxglove Remix) by digitalfoxglove Also peep Vanguard's [...]

Last year Foster the People's Pumped Up Kicks was my summer song. I would drive through the streets with the track on blast, windows down, collars popped (not so much collars popped). Now, through Foster the People's remix project , it looks like I'll be listening to a whole new rendition of Pumped Up Kicks all summer long, again. I've got to admit when I heard about the remix project I had my doubts. The song is pretty unique and chill so I couldn't imagine what a dancier mix would sound like. Well, [...]

Isn't it nice getting a fully enjoyable submission from someone you haven't heard of before? French producer Look sent this jam over to us, and it's had me groovin' all morn. Horn/brass samples kill it for me every time, and the disco vocal samples are just wonderful. Been really diggin' the slower jams a lot lately, a good switch up from the constant 128-132bpm fist pumpin' bangas. Peep the embed below, and run on over to his SoundCloud and check out his other jams. [...]

Photo by HIMAN Bonjour tout le monde, and happy Monday. For all our Canadian audience, I hope to god you're voting today. Don't give me that shit about "ughhh I don't have time, or I don't know anything about the parties, or I don't give a shit". Well believe me, if you didn't have the right to vote, you'd bloody well wish you had. But anyways on with some sweet jams. Today we're looking at French producer HIMAN , who recently released his debut Extended Play titled Initial which features six [...]
In conjunction with the good folk over at Gotta Dance Dirty , Louis La Roche has begun the Scenery Mixtape series, to be a three part release. Here's what he had to say about it: “There will be no tracklisting, the idea is that Scenery is a listening experience of short songs that create a journey for the listener. This is a free project, released digitally by myself, and each part will come with individual artwork.” And create a journey he does, this mixtape has such a unique flow of euphoric jams I [...]

If you haven't heard of Yasumo yet, start following them today. This Australian duo (Yanni Nair & Simon Salerno) has a wonderfully unique funk style and make jammms on the regular. They've recently released a new Extended Play with three excellent originals, show some love and pick this up. Preview the EP below. Yasumo - Jump to Funk EP (Snippet) now available exclusively to Stompy.com by Yasumo And if you want to see more of their [...]

It’s been two weeks and it’s taken us this long to look back and process all that was Coachella. It was hard trying to pick out specific moments from the festival to highlight – the entire 3 days our senses were being overloaded with amazing music, art, and food (especially spicy pies) and we were amongst some of the friendliest music enthusiasts in the world. But after sharing our experience with some friends over too many glasses of gin, tequila and 7up, we think we’ve managed to pinpoint the best (and worst) moments from the 2011 [...]

I think when some people heard that Daft Punk where doing the soundtrack for the new Tron movie, they were expecting a new album from the legendary duo. What they got however, was exactly what they were told they were going to get, a soundtrack. And not just a soundtrack, but an amazing one in my opinion. But still, the flow of remixes poured down, and the majority fell flat on my ears. Likely because people were treating the soundtrack pieces as typical tracks. Then I heard Robotaki's mix this morn. He didn't [...]
