∆∆∆ What a way to start a week. Eyedress just released this music video for "Don't Disappear" and I watched it and by the end of the four minutes I found I had become intensely sad. Thinking about it I'm sure that's what director Raya Martin had in mind when he linked up with the downtempo keys and misty-eyed atmosphere of Don't Disappear. The colors kill and the images magnify the lyrical sentiment to such an intense degree that you'll welcome the end result of the video couple. If you're ready, watch it below. [...]

PROERA dropped this video for vday. RIP STEEZ "As my bro Steez would have said, Valentines day is Amerikkkan Korruption. Love is free. So instead of buying something, share the video with someone you love. Long Live Steelo."

visuals for Eroika which is off his latest mixtape 19. cop 19 and 63 happy valentines day y'all #verybased #veryrare

It's here! It's really great, too. 13 tracks to darken your v-day, Wicca Phase and Fantasy Camp came through with the heat from the abyss. I couldn't imagine a better playlist for Valentine's Day, seriously. Features include Pretty Witch, Briana Collins of Tiger Jaw, and Dreamkiller. I hit the artists up with a few q's early this evening, about to make something of that...brb. mix for gold sweatshirt , ice breaker single, trap god intro remix bite my ear

Spotted @ Potholes , Araab Muzik came through with the heat. TBQH, I wasn't really feeling his last instrumental tape Electronic Dream 2 , it was just a little too much with the wobbles n the drops n all that d-step terminology. People are talking big about his new tape though, "not some small mixtape." It better not be coming with the title For Professional Use Only; b on the lookout, coming soon.

Found this over at GvsB , ol' Soma had it up on his computer, forgot I fav'd the shit a day ago or something. The laundry mat sucks, I'm gonna go ahead and say always, but this San Fran producer's electronic jams definitely do not. A bunch of pop samples that sound like they're from the 902s keep this tape grooving in an old dog new tricks kinda way. Stream/download below. Download - Giraffage - Needs [.zip]

Jvck & I are sitting in the laundromat right now. I closed one of his shirts in the door of the washer; it will probably be torn to shreds when the spin cycle hits. There are tiny children with pierced ears jumping around and playing hide n seek and pissing their parents off. A dude in throwback Rocawear jeans has a gym bag full of pitbull puppies he's peddling. This new Pure X is my soundtrack. 'Things In My Head' isn't as grainy or psychedelic as old Pure X, back when they were Pure Ecstasy. Nate Grace's voice [...]

Flatbush drops their latest visuals "MRAZ" Better off Dead mixtape coming soon

The tragic cosmic mulatto Victor Vasquez just dropped this double tape, please believe and understand that it's full of the oceanic vibes you've come to expect from the Oakland native. Couple friends of the sweats in there, shouts to Steel Tipped Dove and Bill Ding . Verses from Chippy and Lakutis, tracks brought to you by Mike Finito, Amaze 88, Young L and Vic V himself. Now please stop reading this and hop over to Kool AD's bandcamp so you can put this shit in your speakers.

FANG has me stumbling over too much good music the past few days - four tracks from Smooth's " Fang Life No Other ", then over double that a coupla days later with Ramel Shakur 's "Enchanted." "Enchanted" will most likely be taking up the majority of my listening time for a while. It's one of those hip-hop works that gives you no reason to stop listening. That next song comes up and you're like "oh daaamn smooth flow on 'Magnificent'" or "fuck I love those horns and hook on 'All or Nothin.'" And [...]

You can't just adopt the name Smooth unless you mean business. Smooth, smooth business. Luckily FANG 's own Smooth suitably owns his name over these four dreamy beats. The first time "Hater I.D." played I did an audio double-take and proceeded to rant and rave about how cool it was. "Be You" is pure inspiration. All of these will get stuck in your head on repeat. Gotta keep up with FANG for that good music. Just in the time it took me to stop listening long enough to post [...]

Macklin Underdown aka Swaglin Swaggerswag aka fthrsn just forcibly removed my socks from my feet, while my boots were on. fthrsn is a piece of the Ann Arbor-founded GRL MTN / Zen Tapes group that I keep talking about , and even though these bros should already be on the 'map' I'd say this EP should make their icon way more visible. The best thing about middle school swag is that you can feel each track as it comes in. They're all made to move to; you can tap them out with your headphones on, do your little I-like-this-way-more-than-I'm- letting-on [...]

For those of you not familiar with West-Baltimore Slimestyle, and I'm guessing that's about all of you, you're in for a treat. My friends are already heralding this as the most listenable thing DJ Dog Dick has put out and I'd have to agree. The thing with DJ Dog Dick is there are no rules in the music he makes; it's like an orgiastic, toxic-cesspool of sentient synth notes and vocal effects churning out mutant song after mutant song. DJ Dog Dick and his Identity EP may not be for everyone, but both are v rare, and about as [...]

My dude Yoh , over at the Tapedeck gave me the heads up on the new shit from Ramzy. You should definitely peep his post, he's a little higher up, on that world premier tip. I became aquainted with Ramz from P&P, after a falling out I haven't really seen him since his release of Quite Frankly. This track is really well produced though, Frank has a solid message going on with the video n the lyrics. I dig the noose, it shows (i mean, a lot) but that you don't need a million bucks [...]

Carol dropped this off a couple days back, v pleasant new jam from White Blush. Starting off very clean then bringing in some big synths. It might even fit the drag genre. Sounds a little like something oOoOO could be behind. I like this direction for White Blush. She's definitely got some things going on since the release of her free ep just last month. Oh yeah, she mentioned that it reminds her of kindergarten...
