Ko Ko, the project of Ryan and Taylor Lawhorn has been blowing up in the blogosphere with their new single Float. After a few days of listening to it in the library it quickly meandered into my most listened to tracks. Sounding in a sense like a more mellow Miike Snow, Ko Ko is a good vibes, California based band perfect for listening to in the library or on a road trip. For those of you that are unfamiliar with Adam K, he has worked with Kaskade on multiple tracks, most notable “4 AM” and “Raining”, quite possibly my favorite Kaskade jams. Adam K’s sound bridges the gap effortlessly between trance and progressive house, and puts on display an airy sound that reminds me of puffy, orange and pink clouds during a sunrise or sunset. His music fills the extreme late-night atmosphere perfectly, which surely made him a great counterpart to Kaskade, the man who played a 12 hour set on New Year’s Eve. Right off the bat you can tell this a John Dahlback Remix without even looking at the title. It reminds me of his original track "Life" which came out not too long ago. We first heard of Antwon through a fan submission on our Facebook page and since our first listen we have become big fans of his stuff. The video above features his track "Helicopter" and is one of the best hiphop videos I have seen in a while.
