When Jarrod Quarrell (former member of St Helens) was 16, he found himself trading blows with a skinhead outside of a bar in his native Australia. Singer-songwriter Sonny Smith (of Sonny & the Sunsets fame) will release the third and final volume in his 100 Records series on January 29th via Polyvinyl. Inspired by a 2010 residency at California’s Headlands Center for the Arts, the “100 Records Project” saw Smith spend over a year writing and recording 7″ singles for 100 fictitious bands. Since they emerged from the suburbs of Detroit in 2008 with debut album The Orion Songbook, Frontier Ruckus has continued to evoke rich imagery and heartfelt emotion with the storied lyrics of vocalist Matthew Milia. Forever the Sickest Kids is an American pop punk band from Dallas, Texas. The band first signed with Universal Motown Records and released their debut album, Underdog Alma Mater, in 2008. Their second self-titled album was released in early 2011. Universal Motown Records was later shut down and the band was left unsigned for over a year until signing to Fearless Records.
