Cafe Favorite Alexander Spit links up with one of my favorite late night show, Last Call with Carson Daly and talks about how he got into hip-hop, how he controls everything he does (photography, production, artwork and of course lyrics) and his vision. Check out his major label debut album, "A Breathtaking Trip to That Otherside" (via spotify )

Been sitting on this debut video from Liverpool singer-songwriter Jetta for over a month, even though it's been out since late last year (sorry V). Jetta's voice in this video can be compared to that of Florence Welch with production that sounds like something The xx would do. In a perfect world we would have a Florence Welch and The xx track, but since we don't Jetta makes up for that void. Looking forward to listening to more of her work in the near future. Laura Mvula stops by the BBC 1Xtra Live Lounge and covers Michael Jackson's Human Nature. Been seeing a lot of Michael Jackson coverage and videos these past few days. Not sure if has anything to do with this being the month of February or maybe Music Choice just wanted to honor him (and Beyonce). Mvula’s debut album Sing To The Moon drops on March 4 aka next week. In the meantime, check out our early review here .

Kwabs first appeared late last year with his stunning cover of James Blake's " Wilhelm Scream " and now the rising upstart has graced us with his extraordinary new single... the electronic gospel led "Spirits Fade." Check out the live version of Jesse Boykins III and MeLo X’s Zulu Guru track from the Red Bull Studios. It's amazing how much Boykins has grown as an artist over these past couple of years. Definitely hope this guy breaks through with some more recoginiton in the near future. Blast this during your morning commute or on your way to class.

Zane Lowe first premiered AlunaGeorge latest single "Attracting Flies" on his BBC Radio 1 show . The new track is off the London duo's forthcoming debut album Body Music (out July 1st). The single drops on March 10th featuring remixes by Baauer, S-Type & more.

"What may be the most admirable and enjoyable thing about Sing To The Moon is Laura’s fearlessness. She is simply not afraid to take sonic risks". Laura Mvula - Sing To The Moon 8/10 RCA/Sony Much attention has been paid to Laura Mvula over the past year. The former secondary school teacher turned soul songstress had a momentous year, exemplified by being nominated to the prestigious BBC Sound of 2013 list (on which she ended up taking 4th place), as well as her critically lauded She EP. The self-proclaimed “geeky kid of R&B” is [...]

Looks like we have a new/old song from Frank Ocean . This was allegedly recorded around the time Ocean was working on Channel ORANGE. However this sounds more like something we would have heard on Nostalgia, Ultra. While we wait for an album release date and title from Ocean, Eyes Like Skies should hold us over.

Remember Victoria Hesketh aka Little Boots ? She had a strong buzz a few years back but never quite lived up to those expectations. I stumbled upon K.Flay a few years back while watching MSG Network believe it or not. They had a SXSW special going on after one of the Knick games. Watching K.Flay on the SXSW stage I was immediately drawn to her energy and stage charisma. After watching that show and finding some of her music, you can tell she is a hip-hop artist. Her new project West Coast shows K.Flay's growth as an artist. Besides Hip-Hop she touches the pop, electro and even soul genre. Check the stream below or download West Coast here .

Powerful song and powerful video from R&B artist Miguel . We love when an artist has a great message behind their song and bring awareness to "what's is going on" (Marvin Gaye voice). Check out press release below. "It's so easy to ignore what's right in front of us sometimes. I wanted to create a song and visual that addressed my everyday concerns of life as I know it in the world that we live in," says Miguel of "Candle in the Sun." Veering from the sensual, bedroom grooves of his Billboard-topping hit singles, the [...]
