Its the Infamous Mobb M.O.B.B. Cant be touched Nigga cant you see G-Unit... I think the picture above is a bit more accurate for Mobb Deep's latest creation 'Blood Money' which i think of as 50 Cent's 'The Mobb Deep Massacre'. If you havent listened to their new album, bellow i have included some of my favourite Mobb Deep lyrics from their [...]

I posted the first one so i might as well post the second... 'Soul Survivor II' isnt as great as the first, this is not entirely Pete's fault, his beats are as fresh as always, i guess its the rappers this time who dont really appeal to me... Its much more gangsta and heavy than Pete Rock's usual style and the few tracks that are smoother than the others stand out the most... These being both CL Smooth tracks 'It's a Love Thing' and 'Appreciate' which stay true to the classic PR & CL sounds, the other stand out is [...]

My good mate Dub Dentist has been largely influenced by all genres of music, in particular Reggae, Dub, Electro and Drum N Bass and is well known within Australia for his single 'The F Word' which has had much airplay on popular radio stations JJJ and FBI. In this Biffhop exclusive, the Dub Dentist puts all his production skills and influences to present his vision and interpretation of hip-hop and does so in a very unique and injenuitive way, with samples ranging from soft flutes to heavy electric guitar. Features popular hip-hop poets Saul Williams, KRS-One and Ursula [...]

Requested by Kaz but i was gonna post this one eventually anyway... Ever since i heard Pete Rock and CL Smooth's sound i wanted more, Pete Rock seemed too good to let go... This album was truly a gift from god, with Pete Rock's phat beats you cant go wrong, then take just about every rap veteren in the game including O.C., Common, CL Smooth, Kool G. Rap, the best of Wu-Tang and many others and you have one fucking awesome album full of classics... Favourites: Pretty much everything... if the lyrics arent good (which they [...]

Haven't done this in a while so straight from God himself heres a few hot tracks... Number one... just got this like 2 hours ago and is by far the best track on Rhymefest's debut album 'Blue Collar'. This track 'Build me up' is a take on the classic song 'Build Me Up Buttercup' and features Ol' Dirty Bastard singing his retarted version of the harmonious chorus. Rhymefest Feat. ODB - Build Me Up Next is my favourite track from Pete Rock's [...]

Heiro lovers rejoice! Opio (of Souls of Mischief) has released his solo-debut 'Triangulation Station' and if you havent peeped this yet, heres your chance. If your looking for that '93' Till Infinity' sound you may be slightly dissapointed, but Opio's new sound, a combination of the old Soul of Mischeif sound (Pianos and acoustic instruments) and more contemporary sounds (Heavy bass ect.) is just as good as anything Souls of Mischief has released. With the lyrics, Opio is on top of his game, with a mixture of hood stories like 'Talk Dirty' and more ideological ideas are expressed in tracks [...]

One of the greatest and most powerfull albums i have in my collection, this release from the AIDS awareness campaign Red Hot is my personal favourite from the series. A.I.D.S. features many of the greatest hip-hop artists and producers from the early 90s including big names: Wu-Tang Clan, Pete Rock, Common, O.C., De La Soul and Organized Konfusion to name a few. Their care for the issue is evident and true as the hip-hop community was made aware of the pressing nature of the AIDS virus after Easy-Es death in 1995. This album also features dope producing with [...]

Overcast!.. This album was released in a time where the rap game was dominated by Pac and Biggie and you either adapted their style or were entirely unique... Atmosphere chose to take their own perspective and Overcast! was the start of a whole new style, where rap become more of a personal journey rather than a physical journey within life in the ghetto... Atmosphere were successfull in their attempts, this album is contains both entertaining and creative lyrics combined with some fresh beats. Hence forth, step within my psychoanalysis Callouses [...]

BIG THANKS TO NICK FOR UPPING ALL THESE! The debut from one of the most influential and thought provoking hip-hop poets from the early 90s... Poor Righteous Teachers - Holy Intellect EVERYONE should have this album... 'nuff said... Wu-Tang Clan - Enter the Wu-Tang (36 chambers) One of the only Wu-Tang clan members still keeping it raw [...]

Some of you may recognise 'Red Hot' as one of the leading AIDS awareness programs, well this organisation has been releasing albums featuring popular artists representing various music styles. Red Hot + Cool represents the jazz genre and is one of the best in the series and features a mixture of both smooth and jazzy hip-hop artists like Us3 and Digable Planets aswell as slightly more hardcore artists like the Roots. The album features prime producing and is well worth buying (Especially as its supporting charity!) but for now i offer it free to you for download... Hopefully you will [...]

The Digable Planet's debut Reachin' is the definition of the word 'chilled', theres nothing complicated, nothing confronting, just the simple combination of jazz samples and finger clicks combined with a smooth, soft rapping flow... Simple, but its so effective... Tracklist: 1 It's Good To Be Here 2 Pacifics 3 Where I'm From 4 What Cool Breezes Do 5 Time & Space (A New Refutation Of) 6 Rebirth Of Slick (Cool Like That) 7 Last Of The Spiddyocks 8 [...]

No chance on making the Public Enemy concert now :'( ... would have been good, so insted heres the next best thing... My favourite Public Enemy album... featuring the hit classic 'Bring The Noise'... No need for a description! Tracklist: 1. Countdown To Armageddon 2. Bring The Noise 3. Don't Believe The Hype 4. Cold Lampin With Flavor 5. Terminator X To The Edge Of Panic 6. Mind [...]

I was completely oblivious to this group until i noticed some guy was so desperate for this album that he put up a request in nearly every blog under a different name... So this ones for you! Soul Position if you aren't informed is the joint efforts of RJD2 and Blueprint (from Greenhouse Effect)... It is a farely solid group, in my mind RJD2 is the better half and his beats are in top shape while Blueprint is slightly inconsistant with his rapping... All in all this is a good album, worth the download... [...]

The thing i love most about this group, is its keeping hip-hop alive with its ingenuity and innovation. Jurrassic 5 offers a distinct alternative to the predominant gangsta rap scene and proves its popularity with its undeniable successes from their LP debut 'Quality Control'... 'Power in Numbers' is further proof of this groups commercial success and is quite possibly the best hip-hop album of 2002... What more do i need to say?... This album is a must have for any fan of hip-hop... BE SURE TO CHECK OUT 'DAY AT THE RACES' FEAT. BIG [...]

When this first came out i thought id stay clear, the artists didnt really appeal to me and the cover looked too good to be true... So imagine the surprise when i opened up this present!... This is a great album, in line with DJ Premier's finest and if you manage to ignore tracks featuring 50 cent youll find classic tracks from artists like NYGz, Lil' Vic, Uncle Murder, Ghostface and Notorious to name a few!... Holiday Hell will be easters slice of heaven!.. Tracklist: 1. DJ Premier - Intro [...]

Ive herd alot about this album so i thought id give a try to Mr. Price's solo debut... After being impressed by Smiff N Wessuns return on the Boot Camp label i thought i couldnt go wrong... However, ive have mixed emotions with this album... Sean Price, the self proclaimed 'brokest rapper you know', has alot of potential and this is seen in songs like Onion Head and Heartburn where he has an admirable flow and lyrics, but he seems to be a real let down in some songs where he sounds like hes almost falling asleep with fairly average [...]
I think this really shows EPMD's acceptance of the end of their career and they have definately come a long way from 'Strictly Buisness'... Within this album the group remains true to their original sound, which has proved to be the death of them, they have refused to progress with hip-hop and have suffered greatly due to this, however have maintained true to the game and have stuck with their raw sound... To top it off this album comes with a bonus disc of the groups remastered Greatest Hits... Tracklist: CD 1 - Out of Buisness [...]

One of Premier's more recent contributions to the hip-hop world, Checc Ya Mail displays todays hottest rappers from all sorts being produced by one of the greatest of all time producers... DJ Premier! Nearly every track on this is solid gold, excluding G-Unit's '300 Shots' which pretty much puts me to sleep, this is however followed by The Game's 'Ghost Unit' which is a classic, Game absolutely shits on G-Unit and Premier seems happy to help to out... Tracklist: 1. DJ Premier - Intro 2. Papoose - ‘Mother Nature’ [...]
