This will probably be one of those posts that I will update periodically. So Lollapalooza is happening for a third time this year in the fine city of Chicago. I am excited, now if only I could be sure I'm going or not. Happening August 3rd to the 5th, it'll showcase a ton of bands. The line-up this year, like the prior years, is not a let down! I'm actually not sure what the ticket price is
It has been awhile...indeed, it has been awhile. I look around me (in cyberspace) and I can't help but realize that there are tons, well, shitloads of people like me posting concert reviews and music reviews, and I guess, just reviews in general. I like it. I like being able to go to a concert and then go through my daily websites, a list I am constantly adding to, and being able to read about
Living in a city of about 3 million is pretty awesome. I mean, I'm in love with Chicago. I really am. There are so many good sources for good music. We have pretty awesome venues, granted I don't think I've ever been to a concert in another state... So the big thing this week is the Tomorrow Never Knows 2007 Festival at Schuba's, which starts today actually. The five day show pass is very
Well, I haven't updated in awhile, and this post won't satisfy my updating quota. This year, I will resolve to update more. Urbana-Champaign has a decent sized music scene. Surprisingly enough, many bands pass through and there are a sufficient amount of venues in the area. The Pygmalion Music Festival at the start of the school year was very interesting. However, there weren't many people interested. The campus also boasts the Courtyard Cafe events hosted by the Illini Union Board on weekends. I've seen a good number of bands there, The Living Blue, Headlights, and Chambana's hard-working band: [...]
Wow, I didn't go to one show in May...well, if I did, I definitely don't remember. =/ Anyways, this was an interesting show seeing as I only had a few hours of sleep the night before and I kept dozing off. Yipes. I really did like Tapes 'n Tapes on stage...especially because I knew all of their songs. However, Cold War Kids really impressed me! Yes. Another short one. When I get more time on this, I'll definitely write longer ones...
Man, I am late on this post. I was originally going to miss this show, but I figured that I've had Pinback's Summer in Abandon for awhile and I always enjoyed listening to it. So I invited a friend, who hadn't heard of them before, and both he and I left feeling quite satisfied.
I had never heard of any of the two other bands than The Bon Mots, but I do have to comment that the 1900s was really impressive. I felt like they were a combination of Architecture in Helsinki, Of Montreal, and Stars. I suppose it might just be their style. As usual, The Bon Mots wanted to pack as many songs as possible into their set. They definitely filled their audiences' plates every time they play. As for Brad Peterson and his band, well, I didn't particularly enjoy [...]

Northside Prep Auditorium? 5501 N. Kedzie Chicago, IL 60645
I'm a bit behind on this post, and it happened ages ago! Oh dear. =( Anyways, this was my first time seeing Of Montreal and I have to admit that they have quite the stage presence. I guess I was taken by surprise by their flamboyant attitudes but it was impressive. And to make up for my lack of posting...here is a review from Burning Oak .

Indeed, I have been neglecting my duties to this blog. So here is some random thoughts that I'd love to share before I move on to the more pressing matters of the concert I attended tonight. I feel like giving myself a pat on the back sometimes when I feel like I know my music stuff. Yipee. But sadly, I do regret that I was not this into music before. I was having a discussion the other day with XO BOBBY . Anyways, I am a huge fan of Broken Social Scene now, [...]
So the audience was a bit odd. I mean, it's probably just because it's been awhile for me since I've been to an all ages show. It was just a bit overwhelming. The first two bands were typical teenager rock stuff. I don't think I'll go into it. But I did very much enjoy The Format. I didn't know what to expect because Motion City Soundtrack is pretty energetic, rebellious music that's quite popular. The Format really blew me away and I would have gone to their show on Tuesday (April 4) but things [...]

So I first heard of Freezepop through Achewood. And I heard of that through Karol, so I heard of them from Karol. It's weird, I'm into their sound and I wonder if it's because I'm Asian and we're supposed to be drawn to beats like that. Whatever it was, this concert was pretty neat. Although this is an extremely late post, better late than never. Anyways, I'm an unofficial intern for Omega Point Records. I wanted to land an intern at Touch And Go Records, I mean, their application is still on my desk, [...]

(I think I'll end up putting some past concerts I've been to here too. This one's a bit late.) If you've ever heard Stars, I must say that they are the best thing live. I will probably say that they definitely make the top 3 best concerts I've ever been to if I had such a list. So it starts off as with any concert...waiting in line. Blake Sennet (he's the guy in the hat) came up to some of us and remarked that it [...]
Well, I guess I decided to start one of these purely on the fact that I find myself to be a music addict. Maybe that's not the correct description. Anyways, I'll probably just talk about music I listen to and concerts I've been to and mp3s I like. So I will end with this interesting news article: Nanotech Helps Blind Hamsters See .
