This delicious artefact , housed in a concertina of wrap-around screen printed primitiveness contains two lively and possessed performances, one recorded in Manchester and the other Sheffield. It documents a three way split of talent... a triad of Flemish sound poet Ludo Mich , Harappian Night’s Syed Kamran Ali and Pascal Nichols of 'Part Wild Horses Mane on Both Sides' fame. Chaotic colour a plenty, De Zwarte Natte Poedel Transformeert is full of dynamic angles, searching out the magic [...]

This is an excellent album, full of textural diversions and shifts of focus that are thematically dreamy, forlorn, exquisitely soaked in copious amounts of noisy euphoria … New Dawn grabs you first… throws you into the deep end in a barrage of waspy sci-fi, crowned in weals of corroded wah… like earwigs noisily chewing over some 'Les Rallizes' masterpiece. Lush screams spiral from deep within the excess… that prevailing spikiness seemingly on the cusp of flat lining, but skates the void superbly, the overload mysteriously pared back to a nursery rhythm of keystrokes, it's [...]

Really chuffed to have deposited an Autotistic track for this excellent remix project of Bitch Goggles' Cameron release. Originally a noise protest marking the Conservatives return to Downing Street in May 2010, three years on, C13 voices its objections further in 51 minutes of reinvention and dis-entanglement wrapped in pervy pvc and boasting plenty of defaced portraiture… email advicehorse@gmail.com for a copy today… it’s FREE and proud of the fact…

28th April - The Croft Bristol What an evening!… Psych massage of the highest order… First up, Edgar Froese look-a-like Paul Allen gave us a Anthroprophh set of dronic fruit and drums... Sitting in front of his vintage synths all regal….after a diverting slice of wah(ed) guitar indulgence his hands were glued to those keys in spikes of deliberation … rippling out the oscillatory pleasures [...]

Some immaculate guitar burnouts from those ever industrious Hiroshima Bird Market boys... and you can catch them live at Leipzig's Claws Of Saurtopia festival this May. Happy Untergang by Hiroshima Bird Market

Wednesday 17th April - The Bee Hive Swindon Wow! He must be 75+ and he’s still an insanely smiling fruitcake of a man… A hero (or should that be zero) of mine, his wry sense of humour partially sound tracked my early 20’s and beyond, a wise man of sensible nonsense, wrapping his wares in blissful trip(tics) and space whispers... A lot of people made the pilgrimage to this tiny public house in the middle of Swineville, with many multi-coloured [...]

I really love film scores, all the better if they are imagined... non-tethered, itchy with possibility... and I must say, this completely instrumental offering from the Sone Institute fills that ticket and concludes this Collision / Detection series in a slinky throb of disco and sequenced goodness... wayward shapes throw over a wonky dance floor... Deathbeat (Main Title Sequence) starts the proceedings in DAF pulsations replete with oily pond skater synth lines … Highlights of piano in soft curlicues of wharrrrr, contours that climb all over you with euphoric limbs, quick cut with beach [...]

27th March @ Power Lunches Hackney, London Think more cafes should follow Power Lunches lead by opening up their basements to fresh musical talent and sprinkling their recorded wares amongst the tea and coffee aromas upstairs... Nice vibe indeed, with the minus figure weather shaken off further by the mellow vibes infecting most of that night's proceedings... A soothing tapestry of looped debris from Jimmy Billingham's Tidal [...]

Cafe Kino - Thursday 21st March 2013 Dsic was plying this lush clash of prickly textures as we got down into the cellar of the Kino... Already mid flow creating a satisfying scramble of rhythm blocks squibbing an '80s pinball death race of collision... half heard radio chewed up and spit roasted on mouth mic(ed) feedback. Curved over the Mac Book a diluted wash of Quink highlighting his face, locked in total concentration as nibble fingers released an abstract goo of lush corrupted [...]

This latest cassette from Susan Fitzpatrick & Stuart Arnot is full of lovingly observed madness…an improvised scramble of junkyard rummages and asylum throat falls, abridged by dronal sax and squeeze box wheeze… The ‘Aura Mirror Come Fickle’ side starts all methanol fatigue squelched.... The saxophone’s cacophonic limbs fingering your head in sliding horizons of drone, bleeding over to some disturbed throat action. A bizarre Schwitters like dance of pip spitting, vowel fights, and folksy shadowing. Lip tourettes thrown into some lovely reverby springs as the murky scene is illuminated in [...]

...this will be a fiver will spent
...this falls into my head like it's been there all along, a simple truth expanding in glorious repeats... watch out for the unexpected mood swing at 3 minutes 15 although i do prefer the searcher side and those dislocations ...so many branches...
i reckon if Mazzy Star had released something on Alec Empire's DHR it would have sounded something like this groovesome nugget From Double Hallucinative

Totally loving this recent release from Alice Kemp's Germseed . A rich, muscular offering in corrosive currents of over wrought hex-eating sibilance. A tar black and growly dose of bass with warm injections of mournful vocal doppelganging the rub, trancing forks sucking you deeper into the daggering dune grass... Starts in drum hits and revving slurs, nano shunted into a pool of digital lice. Fragmented chords of sparse guitar sprouting the reflective slow-mo's, curving the brewing electronics and jazz-handed zimmer. A fairly gentle album introduction which sons of bitches vanquishes [...]

New introspective (dis)ambience from Danny M's Gel Nails project... mighty fine it is too... been a fan of Mr Milanese's work since his Ultra Bonbon days and this new EP revels in some really nice chromosomal delay and caffeine soaked balladry. Here's hoping a full album is inching itself ever closer to the horizon in 2013, meanwhile check out some of his live noise drawings ( particularly love this Thurston Moore one ) .
