Stephanie was one of the special people and we will miss her very much. Time for a BNO?

Former Clark Hall Pub DJ, Golden Words editorial cartoonist, tech-head, artist, musician, and all-round good guy Joey deVilla  is rallying the old schoolers out there to join him at Alfies in Toronto  on April 28th, 2006. He's written some of his thoughts about nights spent at Alfie's Pub . Perhaps it's a good night to get some of the old pub staff together. Hope to see you there. Johnny

Putting it all together again

Over the last week or so I've finally been able to reunite the majority of the CDs in my collection. Various moves and housing configurations meant some boxes never made it out of storage. Always interesting to see what treasures have been tucked away. Some discs really haven't aged that well. Not sure if this means a purge lies ahead but I'm sure at least one person in our abode would vote for that.

Performancing blog stats and wordpress plugins

Have been testing the blog stats tracking that the folks at Performancing  have recently released. The package is pretty simple but they've done a good job of adding features that make it easy to add to your blog. As always the wordpress community has stepped up with cool plugins to make it even easier and extend the functionality. Take a peak at DaveBlog  for his plug-in  or the version from Zelig at Zelig Planet . For more about Performancing click their logo .

5ives.com

Who sits around and makes a list of the " most punchable " characters in Pretty in Pink . I like the " Five bad signs about the band onstage ". The URL is www.5ives.com . The archive can be found here .

25 cents and two days later

I'm putting this one on the must see list. It's the story of Bill Carlton and his quest to conquer the twenty year-old high score record for Missile Command. The documentary is called High Score and it was recently shown at the SXSW festival in Austin, TX. [ via Waxy.org ].

Thinking about going HD-TV

This is a really cool comparison of DVD and HD-DVD video. These folks took screen captures from both the DVD and HD-DVD versions of Lord of the Rings to illustrate the video quality differences. Well worth a peak. The link is: http://www.cornbread.org/FOTRC ompare/index.html
