Last night an old friend of mine, Seth Pfannenschmidt (he's also a musician) went out to Andyman's to catch Megan Palmer and The Black Swans. When we showed up we found out that there were two other folks on the bill, singer/songwriter Steve Shanks (aka Timid Blue) and Mark Turns, a spoken word "artist". Apparently, it was Mark Turns' CD release party, although no one but Mark really knew anything about that. Well, it's December 26th and I'm finally ready to unveil our Top of the Year lists for 2007. I've still never seen "I Am Sam", but the soundtrack is amazing. In fact, I think Ben Folds' version of "Golden Slumbers" can totally hang with Paul's, no question.
