The Rubens - 'Lay It Down' (mp3) Digging this smooth Auerbach style tune in the key of CROON from this Sydney four piece. Some great bluesy drawls and lazy instrumentals going on. I'm picturing this as one of of those tracks the bar dude secretly pours his heart out to when he's mopping up broken glass at closing time. - Seekae - 'Sir' ( mp3 ) Seekae recently dropped this surprise new tune via the LA Times music blog. Suffice to say, it was a pretty exciting day at whothehell.net. 'Sir' falls into the 'summer jam' category of Seekae music (think 'Blood Bank'), and manages to combine the intricacies of the studio with the looseness of their live sets. As always with these guys, worth checking out.
Dead Letter Chorus - Wiggle Bay I went along to the Rewiggled party with a healthy dose of skepticism tucked firmly into my pocket.
