So yeah. Beastie Boys are on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" tonight. Crazy me, I decided to try for a standby ticket for the show, which is not something I would recommend any sane person do because it requires enduring a lot of BS. I am happy to report that the "Luck o' the Beastie" was with me. After grueling hours of lines and check-ins at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, I made it into Studio 6B. A number of fans who ordered the Check Your Head collector's vinyl set have discovered a surprise bonus 7-inch record containing two unreleased songs. The bonus album has not been found in every copy of the collector's set. The first track, titled "Lee Majors Come Again," is rap over hardcore instruments. The second track, titled "B Boys in the Cut," is an a cappella. [...]

In YET MORE festival news, it appears that Beastie Boys will be headlining the first night of the Voodoo Experience (aka Voodoo Festival) in New Orleans on October 30. A slip-up on the official festival web site displayed the news (it has been removed). Interested fans may want to take advantage of the cheap early-bird tickets now -- but keep in mind the line-up remains unconfirmed and changes can occur. The line-up will be announced on June 20.

Beastie Boys are confirmed to play at Austin City Limits , which takes place October 2-4 in Austin, Texas. Festival organizers announced the line-up today . Beastie Boys attended the premiere of Grey Gardens, a HBO film based on the 1975 documentary by the Maysles Brothers , on April 14 at the Ziegeld Theater in New York City. Beastie Boys will be headlining one day of the three-day Outside Lands Festival, which takes place August 28-30 in San Francisco. The announcement was made in an advertisement posted on the San Francisco Chronicle's web site (see above). The date is posted on the new Beastieboys.com home page that also announces the collector's edition release of Check Your Head on March 30.
