Following two critically acclaimed EPs, Brooklyn based band Farewell Republic will release their debut LP, Burn the Boats, on February 21, 2012. After a year-long writing/pre-production process, Burn the Boats was tracked in July 2010 at the Chrome Attic in Crystal Lake, IL and the Thunderdome in Ann Arbor, MI. We do receive a lot of varied music here at The Network, and when Keshco sent us a track from their latest album Futile Peace Offering , and described their styles as "psychedelia, synthpop, bedsit folk, library music etc" I was keen to check out the album which is available from the 23seconds Netlabel. 23 year old Canadian artist Colin Fisher created this track as part of the White Cube project, in which ninety four remixes of an original poem and ambient samples were put together in a creative commons environment.
