
The organizers of Chicago's Riot Fest have announced the first wave of bands that will be playing the festival, including Iggy & the Stooges, Elvis Costello , Descendents , The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Gaslight Anthem , Coheed and Cambria , Dropkick Murphys , NOFX , and a reunion from Chicago ska-punk act Slapstick , among many others. The festival will take place September 14th - 16th, at the Congress Theater and Humboldt Park. Tickets are on sale now.

Make Do and Mend have unveiled a music video for their new song, "Lucky," which will appear on the band's upcoming Rise Records debut, Everything You Ever Loved . The album is due out June 19th, 2012 .

Self Defense Family are streaming a new song from their upcoming 7" . The song is called "Self Immolation Family."

Richmond, VA's Hold Tight! will be hitting the road this summer with Pedals on Our Pirate Ships . Hold Tight! will be supporting their sophomore album , Blizzard of '96 , due out June 26, 2012 .

The group is the new project from former and current members of some notable bands including Chris Chasse of Rise Against , Nik Hill and Brett Rasmussen of Ignite , and Todd Hennig of Death By Stereo .

Dead To Me have unveiled the dates for their upcoming summer tour with Broadway Calls and The Arteries . The groups will travel throughout the west coast for the month of May. Dead To Me last released Moscow Penny Ante in 2011.
Louder Than War are reporting that the BBC are planning a season of programming on the topic of punk, it's history, and it's ongoing influence. The season, marking 35 years since punk achieved mainstream national attention within the UK, will centre around BBC4 documentary series Punk Britannia . The series, comprised of three parts, will feature the likes of John Lydon, Mike Jones, Siouxsie Sioux, Mark E, Smith, Pete Shelley, and Adam Ant. Spinner is streaming a new song from Toys That Kill 's upcoming full-length, Fambly 42 titled "V-Chip." Frontman Todd Congelliere says of the song: "this song is about parents living vicariously through their kids. The verses are sung from the offending parent's standpoint and the choruses is my oath to never do that. We'll see... " You can check out the song here . The lineup for this year's This is Hardcore Fest has been announced, and includes such acts as Gorilla Biscuits , Lifetime , Cro-Mags , Terror , Earth Crisis , Bane , H2O , and many more. The festival will take place August 9th through 12th in Philadelphia, PA. In addition to the announced bands, the festival organizers are saving one last headliner as a surprise, to be unveiled when tickets go on sale, May 17th.

The Atom Age will be hitting the road for the span of June in support of their upcoming release, The Hottest Thing That's Cool , which is due for a May 29th release on Asian Man Records .
