UK producer Koreless worked a little magic on Foals song "Late Night" from their most recent LP, Holy Fire . It takes the song to a hypnotic underwater world of magic that is best experienced with headphones one. Check it out below and compare it to the original. For those in and around Indianapolis, MOKB Presents will be bringing Foals along with Surfer Blood to the Old National Centre on May 17th. You can find the [...]

Wow! That is all we can say. I am not sure if London Grammar are capable of anything less than perfection. The group previously released the excellent songs "Hey Now" and "Metal & Dust," now we get the ballad titled "Wasting My Young Years" that pulls at your heart strings. The song further confirms the fact this act is fully worthy of a next big thing label. They just have that "it" factor. Listen below.

It has been a big last few months for Aussie band Atlas Genius . The trio scored a hit with their infectious song "Trojans" and their debut album, When It Was Now , has been holding steady on the charts since its release this past February. For their latest endeavor, the band teamed up with four of Vimeo's top creators have each of them produce a original video for the previously mentioned "Trojans." "As an artist, you are always interested in how your audience interprets a song you [...]
This past December, Jacksonville-based singer/songwriter JJ Grey stopped by the Sun King Brewery in Indianapolis to spend some time with our friends and MyOldKentuckyBlog.com. We recorded some new cuts from his new album, This River , which is being released today through Alligator Records. This River is JJ's seventh album and his first studio album since 2010's Georgia Warhorse . This River , like JJ's previous releases, was produced by Grey and Dan Prothero, and recorded at Retrophonics [...]

Last year, Norfolk, VA's Wesley Bunch, aka Suburban Living , released the excellent Cooper's Dream EP drenched in its nostalgia and heavy reverb. Today, he is following-up that release with the Always Eyes 73 via Dialog Records . On the 73, we get more of that reverb and sound that will draw your mind to times past. Last month, we heard the a-side "Always Eyes", now listen and download the just as engaging, shimmering b-side [...]

Minneapolis' Poliça teamed up with Justin Vernon of Bon Iver for the first single, "Tiff", from her new album later this year. The pair performed the track this past weekend at Coachella (see video below). This is a reunion of sorts as the two contributed to the group Gayngs a couple of years back. Listen below.

Baobab is the solo project of Durham, NC resident Phil Torres. During live shows, Torres is joined by Whitney Trettien and together they loop guitars, synths, mandolin, amongst other instruments. On April 30th, he will be releasing his sophomore LP, BAYOHBAHB . For the song "Magdelene Street," you get the full scope of the lush instrumentation taking 60s and 70s folk/singer-songwriter sounds and putting a modern twist on it. Torres already released a trippy video to compliment the song, now we have the track for download. Find [...]

Well, that did not take long. After releasing a commercial that was played at Coachella and during Saturday Night Live, Daft Punk is released the full stream of new song "Get Lucky" featuring Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers. This is a shimmering disco jammer that could have fit nicely in Michael Jackson's Off The Wall LP. Random Access Memories is out May 21st via Columbia Records . Listen below. EDIT: It looks like [...]

Empire Of The Sun is finally back with their first new music since all the way back in 2008 with their album, Walking On A Dream . "Alive" will appear on their new album, Ice On A Dune , slated to drop in June via Astralwerks . The song is everything you can want in a song from the band. Listen below.

Panties, moist, and juicy are the most common words that people have a strong dislike for in any context, except for moist in describing cake. Elliphant's latest video for "Make it Juicy" does not do anything to help the latter of those three. The black and white video shows lots of liquid spewing out of the mouth and may be NSFW. Proper manners go all out the window on this one. Her self-titled EP is out now via Bigger Splash Records. Watch below.

Hollywood, CA surf rock band Beach Day announced the release of their full-length debut, Trip Trap Attack, via Kanine Records just in time for the summer on June 18th. You might recognize them from their song in a recently circulated Victoria's Secret commercial . The lead single from the debut is the sun-kissed "Boys". It only clocks in at two-minutes, but its girl group harmonies drenched in sunshine is an appealing listen. Check it out for yourself below. [...]

Detroit's finest, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. , are looking to follow-up their 2011 full-length, Corporate World , sometime later this year. In advance of that, they will be releasing the Patterns EP via Warner Bros. on April 16th digitially and the vinyl on Record Store Day. We already heard the upbeat and long-titled "If You Didn't See Me (Then You Weren't On The Dancefloor)", now we get the equally infectious "Hidin". Listen below. [...]

We are under a month away for the release date of May 7th for She & Him's new album, Volume 3 . While we were only luke warm towards the album's first single "Never Wanted Your Love" , the second offering, "I Could've Been Your Girl", has us more optimistic about this release. Regardless, M. Ward finally makes his presence felt and gives us what we want with a very M. Ward-sounding guitar solo on this one. Listen below.
Slow Magic revealed a short film featuring his song "Feel Flows" this past week. It was directed, produced & edited by Paris Zarcilla and is currently nominated for 'Best Short Film' and 'Best Music Video' at the London Independent Film Festival '13. This is wonderfully shot and epic. Watch below.

"Hounds", the second single from Montreal's Valleys , sounds of hurt with Matilda Perks morose vocals and atmospheric piano chords. According to Perks, the song was written during a time when she lost several of her friends and family members in unrelated accidents. It just goes to show that through pain, beauty can occur. The song appears on their upcoming album, Are You Going To Stand There And Talk Weird All Night? , to be released on April 30th via Kanine Records . Listen below.
![[NSFW] MOKB Video Premiere: Biters: “Hallucination Generation” (Uncensored Version)](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4883572_lg.jpg)
The Biters have done it again. And by that I mean melted my face off (quite literally) with their audacious rock n’ roll artistry. I’m referring of course to the hot-off-the-presses uncensored video for "Hallucination Generation", the lead track from their latest EP Last of a Dying Breed which we here at MOKB, bonafide Biters fans , are more than psyched to premiere. As evidenced by their body of work, a rapid-fire series of EP’s since 2010, each loaded with electrifying, hook-filled pop, this foursome from Atlanta [...]

The second album, titled Our Nation , from Helsinki pop outfit Shine 2009 will be released sometime this fall via Cascine . To hold you over until then, the duo consisting of Sami Suova & Mikko Pykäri, released the lead single "Eurozone" from the LP. The song is a smooth commentary on the current state of affairs in Europe. We have had it on repeat for the last hour. Listen below.

Night Beds lush country-tinged album Country Sleep is one of our favorites thus far in this early year. In the latest episode of the A.V. Clubs Undercover, singer Winston Yellon does his take on Swedish pop singer Robyn and her song "Dancing On My Own". Yellon's reason for selecting the song was because "he has it blasting in his house all of the time." This is something that we can fully appreciate and encourage. Some of us at MOKB may or may not be known from time [...]

A couple of years back, we posted the song "Kellies" that was a part of a limited edition tour-only cassette from Tape Deck Mountain . Since then, the band has signed to the fantastic Lefse Records and released a new EP, Slow Salvation , this past March that includes the previously mentioned dark, shoegazey song. In the low budget, DIY video, the band takes that sound and puts it in front of a red, omininous backdrop with found clips that parading across the screen. It [...]
