Been wanting to see this movie for a very long time. The opportunity came today when I found out that it is screening at the AGO in part of TIFF Cinematheque Ontario (The Best Of The Decade: An Alternative View) . Rode the subway down but tickets were already sold out. Bought tickets for Tropical Malady and Blissfully Yours instead. Hopefully, I will get a chance to see it in the near future. Here's an interesting article " Thai film tops TIFF list of decade's best ". Edit: You can buy the DVD [...]
New drama airing in Japan at the moment. Reminds me a lot about Nobuta wo Produce (one of my favorite japanese series) mainly because Kamenashi Kayuza is the lead and the plot is to transform an outcast (girl) into a sociable being (lady). I'm liking it so far. Can't wait to see next week's episode. If you are interested in watching the full episode go to mysoju.com.
Saw this on my friend's Facebook post. The movie looks hilarious! Makes me miss home even more.

I managed to catch "Sawasdee Bangkok" at TIFF this year which consists of four short films by director Wisit Sasanatieng , Aditya Assarat, Kondej Jauranrasamee , and Pen-Ek Ratanaruang . Next up, I'm planning to watch either Air Doll or Bare Essence of Life (Ultra Miracle Love Story). I'm torn between two movies because I absolutely adore Bae Doona and Kenichi Matsuyama!

Part 1 (35:21min) Part 2 (13:47min) I recorded the interview using my cellphone so the quality is not so great. I suggest using headphones for better listening. Enjoy, manga otakus!
