Yeah I put this in the Pearl Jam category, but it would be more accurate to put it in an Eddie Vedder category, as it was an Ed solo show. But I don't have an Ed solo category... These MP3s were converted from the source at etree . If you want the uncompressed/lossless version of them, I'd suggest downloading the songs from there. Warren Haynes - Intro Warren Haynes and John Paul Jones - Soulshine Warren Haynes and John Paul Jones - Going To California For those of you who are unable to use bittorrent, I've uploaded all 3 tracks in their uncompressed (flac) format, including the info and ffp files. Gov't Mule - The Fillmore - 11/21/08 I arrived in line at 10:00AM. The doors opened at 7:00PM. That's right, I spent 9 hours in line, and had a great time. I came prepared with books, music, several lawn/camping chairs, coffee, food and cigs. Before anyone else arrived in line, Mr. Brian Farmer stopped by and I got a chance to chat with him for quite a while, as he didn't seem to be a in a rush to go anywhere. That in itself was very, very [...]
This just arrived in my inbox - all I can say is "wow". After the trip to SF in Nov for 2 Mule shows, and the trip to NYC for the NYE shows, I really can't justify going to Asheville, but wow... For its Twentieth Anniversary, Warren Haynes Presents: The Christmas Jam will expand to 2 nights for the first time ever and will take place Friday December 12th & Saturday December 13th at the Asheville Civic Center in Asheville, NC. As always all proceeds from the Christmas Jam will be donated to Habitat [...]
Sebastien Grainger & The Mountains have announced their upcoming North American (lots of Canadian) tour dates in support of their self-titled album released tomorrow - Oct 21st. Having given it many listens over the last week or two - thanks for the advanced copy Nick - it's safe to say I'll be at all 3 Vancouver shows. 20 Oct 2008 The Supermarket Toronto, Ontario 22 Oct 2008 Levi's/Fader Fort NYC NYC, New York 22 Oct 2008 Mercury Lounge - CMJ - NYC NYC, New York 23 Oct 2008 Pianos - BROOKLYN [...]
Even though I'm about as far from a Phish fan as you can get, I feel pretty bad for those of you won't struck out today. Scalpers are the lowest form of pond scum. You may want to try signing the Phish Hampton Simulcast Petition to see if the band will consider doing some kind of simulcast/webcast of at least one of the shows, if not all 3. As much as I think online petitions are about as useful as.. well I won't be crude, it's probably worth the time to at least give it a try. God [...]
There is an absolutely fantastic, I mean over-the-top great story/thread over at the Warren Haynes section of the Hittin' The Web forums. Withing giving much away, it's a gentleman that goes by Terrapintom recalling his experience at the Fur Peace Ranch from a couple weeks ago. Stop reading my drivel and head over there for a really wonderful multi-part story.
Well I bought my $399 "VIP package" for the 30th and 31st shows at the Hammerstein. Thanks to wonderful member of the Mule family I'll also have a place to crash in NYC, which is a huge burden lifted. Apparently I've been put in charge of the Warren Haynes & Gov't Mule Yahoo Group , so I guess I should encourage you to join. Actually, I'd encourage you to join regardless, it's the most friendly, drama-free mailing list I'm a part of. Gov't Mule - Wanderin' Child (08/22/99)
In an effort to convince my brother to catch Dr. Dog when they play Toronto in Oct, I'm posting some MP3s from their set @ Wakarusa. The usual disclaimer applies - please don't burn these to an audio CD, for the lossess version of this show hit up etree . It turns out the show on Sept 13th was in fact Andys' last with the band. I'm sure (hoping) that he'll make guest appearances now and then, but as a formal member, this is the last one. To mark this um special-isn't-the-right-word occasion, you can download the entire show in MP3 format below. Yes, I normally link to files as MP3s. This time, I had to zip them. Some jackass in Japan (or at least using the IP address of a computer in Japan) is indexing the MP3s on this site and serving them somewhere else, causing [...]
From Mule.net GOVâT MULE WELCOMES NEW BASS PLAYER New Bassist Jorgen Carlsson To Debut on Fall Tour Balancing evocative songs and expressive improvisation, Govât Mule is a band rooted in both the personal and musical chemistry between its members. "Itâs not one of those groups that can make a change overnight," explains founding guitarist/vocalist Warren Haynes. It is only after six months of rehearsing, jamming, and hanging out with bassist Jorgen Carlsson that he has been added to the band as their new permanent bass player, replacing [...]
Most bands who played the Pemberton Festival in Pemberton, British Columbia earlier this summer just came and left. They played the festival and hauled ass back to the US. I was hoping a few might stick around and play a show or two in Vancouver, but that wasn't the case. My Morning Jacket and The Secret Machines almost got me to attend the festival, but unlike most BC residents, I hate camping. That's right, I'm a "running hot water and electricity" city-boy. Obviously, if Warren, Gov't Mule or the Allman Brothers Band had been on the bill I [...]
Unlike the Warren setlist I posted a couple days ago, this one I got to attend in person. I was supposed to be 3rd row, way, way way to the left (really, not a great set, even if it was 3rd row), 4 songs in (towards the end of Roadside) there was a bit of a stage rush (nothing out of control, but security just seemed to give up on stopping people from leaning up against the sage). So I ended out directly in front of Luther, comfortably resting my elbows on the stage. I gotta tell you, Luther is [...]

Well this is bullshit. My hosting provider (well, this hosting provider) has put a "throttle" on Rock Music Daily. Because it was using too many of the web server connections. The problem doesn't lie w/ this sites popularity. Less than 100 visitors a day isn't going to bring down apache running on a Commodore 64. My guess is that some music service has indexed all of the MP3s on this site, and is streaming them. So I have to figure out which one it is, and block them. Kind of a hassle, but I really really want to [...]
