With the go ahead from Adult.'s Adam Lee Miller to post this, here is the latest news on 'Detroit's undying isolationists', taken from their website... PART I Adult. will be premiering their new silent-experimental-short-horr or film DECAMPMENT May 9, 2008 at 7:00pm and 8:30pm at the Detroit Institute of Arts accompanied by their own peculiar electronic horror music especially scored for the film. What's up Flosstradamus! First off, introduce yourselves. Hello Bloggers and Friends! We're Flosstradamus ! We're two guys from Chicago who DJ a LOT and sometimes make a remix or two here and there. How'd you guys come up with the name 'Flosstradamus'? Curt and I were djing in my room one night when he played a Lil' Jon record on 45 and it got me so hyped that I took the record off the turntable [...]

N.Y.'s Designer Drugs are the dopest (pun intended). Designer Drugs have been steady racking up a discog of club bangin' remixes and for their efforts have earned hella blog and mixtape love ( the evidence ). The two live crew dropped off this brand new remix of Vancouver BC's Fake Shark Real Zombie! —an indie-hardcore-dance-rock band who's 2007 album, 'Zebra Zebra' has been a void in my life that was there since untimely death of their contemporaries, UK's Test Icicles . 'Zebra Zebra' happens to have feature a song named 'Designer Drugs'. Designer Drugs remixes 'Designer [...]

Not intended to feature the latest music out there, my 'Pick of the Week' is to simply share & highlight music I personally enjoy regardless of timeframe. This weeks featured artist is Scorn (Mick Harris), remembered by most as being the former drummer for grindcore legends Napalm Death . Scorn has worked with avant-garde composer John Zorn and prolific producer Bill Laswell and has been remixed by the likes of electronic virtuosos Autechre , experimental industrialists Coil , and Meat Beat Manifesto to name [...]

Not intended to feature the latest music out there, my 'Pick of the Week' is to simply share & highlight music i personally enjoy regardless of timeframe. This weeks featured artist is Ceephax Acid Crew (Andy Jenkinson). Firmly rooted in all things electronic, particularly acid & drum and bass, Ceephax can be compared to many of the acts on Aphex Twin 's record label, Rephlex , as well as his brother Squarepusher . I'd describe his music as being rhythmically erratic and energetic with melodies that can sometimes detach you from reality... [...]

Made entirely from ( Moog , Roland , Waldorf , etc.) synthesizers with guest appearances from the likes of longtime Matmos collaborators Lesser and Hrvatski (Keith Fullerton Whitman), as well as Marshall Allen ( Sun Ra Arkestra ) and minimalist composer Terry Riley , this might just be my favorite Matmos album ever! It's a colorful kaleidoscope of wonderful playful sounds that recalls a lot of Mouse on Mars ' earlier work. 'Supreme Balloon' shows again how multi-faceted Matmos (Drew Daniel and Martin C. Schmidt) are [...]

Electric President's charming sound should appeal to fans of The Postal Service , Death Cab For Cutie , and The Notwist . Out on Berlin-based indie electronic label Morr Music , ( Lali Puna , Ms. John Soda , Styrofoam , etc.), 'Sleep Well' holds true to its title, as a catnap or daydreaming may ensue from these light and fluffy tracks. Perfect listening for a pleasant walk or bike ride in the park. Be on the lookout for this album's release, slated for June. In the [...]

Portishead gets the super dope remix treatment from Jay Fields, better known as Exillon , one of the Bay Area's finest electronic musicians. Over 7 minutes long, this remix is perfect for any prime time DJ set. It's sure to have the goths, the hipster kids, and everyone in between entranced by Beth Gibbons' mesmerizing voice and on the dancefloor in no time. MP3: Exillon - [Portishead] Silence Remix Peep some of Exillon's other work at Zod and Ad Noiseam , two [...]

'Jim' is Jamie Lidell's third & latest album effort out on prolific English label Warp Records . Lidell ditches the electronics much of his early work had for a more raw, organic, heart-felt mixture of soul & r&b that shows his growth as a musician and singer. This is a very good crossover album that may even appeal to fans of Amy Winehouse or the like... The first single off the album, 'Little Bit Of Feelgood', is released with official remixes by Mr. Oizo & Senor Coconut . [...]

Saturdays=Youth, the latest album offering from France's M83 , couldn't have come out at a better time. It's the perfect soundtrack for these beautiful Spring days & nights. Still apparent in M83's sound is their 'lush' and 'ethereal' nod to "shoegaze", but that's not to say that this album is an ode to MBV or the like. M83 have a refreshing, emotive, dreamy sound all their own, and have come up with an album one can easily lose themselves in. Saturdays=Youth was produced by Ken Thomas (known for his work with the likes of The [...]

Design credit: Gaspirator Surkin is the fucking man. Reppin' Parisian label-crew Instatubes , Surkin released his latest 'Next of Kin' EP on April 7th. Get set for three original tracks and one remix by New Jersey electronica-head, Todd Edwards . That's four tracks of dancefloor fire, but you only get one from me—I've opted to share not the title-track, but instead to run with 'White Knights Two', a disco house track flipped with some stuttering vocal effects. The beginning has kind of a Bizarre Inc. 'I'm [...]

Cryptonites are a pair of bang-'em-out dudes from Switzerland who've been collecting blog nods and spots in DJs playlists more and more over the past year for their hitting electro. Now, on their even of their debut EP, 'Hands of God' let's give the boys a full push, because this is some hype business. We first got hipped at Hupendi Muziki , then the crew, Discodust , BigStereo and pretty much e'rybody else. Good reason, as evidenced below. Peep the O.G. production. 'Glow' is the new track Cryptonites just sent over, [...]

Design credit: Electrik Suicide E'rybodys favorite electro thrashers, Crystal Castles , are hitting So. Cal. before taking an aeroplane to tour Europe. All this partying to promote their recent self-titled debut release. We're stoked to have some some recent Crystal Castles tracks and remixes from L.A.'s LAZRtag (which is one part Luvtek , of ' Do It At The Disco ' mixtape fame and one part StellarDRV ). LAZRtag have done nice 'lectro'd up work of 'Crimewave', a track that can be fully credited to HEALTH [...]
Ok, so I posted this a couple days ago with a truncated mp3. Sorriez everybody! Please make sure you download again to get it legit! Los Angeles based Guns'n'Bombs are a win. Signed to French label en vogue, Kitsune . They are first-rate producers, arena-worthy DJs and the self-proclaimed "Lords of Blogtown" (rightfully so!). Fresh off their US tour supporting German electro/techno maestros Digitalism , G'n'B have laced us up with this recent live recording from a few months back, in December, at Rennes, France's premier 3-day indie music festival, [...]

Londoner and rap champion, Dizzee Rascal has a Mercury Music Prize collecting dust, garnered after his 2003 debut 'Boy in da Corner' got international attention for its clever blend of UK garage beats and hip hop grime vocals (at the just 19 years of age). But since then it's been a bit quiet—at least in the US—Dizzee's 20042 follow-up 'Showtime' and 2007's 'Maths+English' placed on the UK charts at #7 & #8, respectively, but the states never saw a proper release from the Dizzee boy. Until now—enter heroic hip-hop label Definitive Jux to pump some [...]

Vancouver's finest and Ableton-style party wrecker, Felix Cartal , has remixed Sweden's electro "it" kids, Mr. Miyagi . Miyagi X Felix?! The pairs' similar bang-it-out styles didn't cancel out in tandem, instead it just became exponential. BANG IT OUT. All caps. MP3: Mr Miyagi - Pick Your Poison (Felix Cartal Remix) I'd say Felix Cartal's signature sound is "teeth-grinding foot-stomping basslines and nutso melodies that glaze a ruff beat like petroleum jelly on toast"—but "electro", "techno", or "house" will also do just [...]

Fresh off their US tour supporting German electro/techno maestros Digitalism , G'n'B have laced us up with this recent live recording from a few months back, in December, at Paris' premier 3-day indie music festival, TransMusicales . The mix is raw-fresh with a little old school Chicago house ( Armando ), little tecktonik ( Dirty South ), little indie dance rock ( Muscles )... [...]
