Just months after a successul European tour, Balmorhea (pronounced bal-more-ay) will set off once again this September for the Eastern half of the United States. The mysterious Fol Chen have been making waves for a couple months, leading up to the release of their new album on Asthmatic Kitty, the follow up to Part II: John Shade, Your Fortune's Made . Pitchfork.tv was kind enough to premiere the video for "In Ruins", the first single from Part II: The New December , out on LP, CD and digital formats on July 6th. This video was shot at the Icelandic volcano Eyjafjallajokull by director Chris Wilcha.

Peggy Sue are playing a song and recording a video take-away style in each town along their tour route. They recorded "Watchman" in Philly yesterday: Katy and Rosa also did a Listening Party over at Brightest Young Things and you can get read what they have to say about album tracks "Long Division Blues", "Yo Mama", "I Read It In The Paper" and "Watchman." Athens rockers The Whigs are wrapping up their recent touring stint with Band of Skulls on April 28th in Toronto. Supporting their new release In The Dark , the trio has already toured the country with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and they performed their first single "Kill Me Carolyne" on the Late Show with David Letterman!
