Patients, today marks the 40th anniversary of the "Bed-In For Peace" that newlyweds John Lennon and Yoko Ono staged in room 702 at the Amsterdam Hilton. The Bed-In was their way of promoting flower power, er, non-violent ways of protest. Mr. White will be playin' behind the kit and singin' with the cigarette swagger of the Kills Alison Mosshart (Vocals, Guitar), fellow Raconteur Little Jack Lawrence (Bass) and Waxwings founder Dean Fertita (Guitar). Both ditties have a dose of rare barnstormin' fretwork by Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck. The doctors and the nursemaids weren't entirely sure if they were both in The Yardbirds at the same time, but lo and behold they played together for about six months. There were only three songs recorded with this short lived lineup: "Happenings Ten Years Time Ago," "Psycho Daisies," and "Stroll On"-their version of [...]
