I mentioned THE VIDEOBAND! about a week ago. I hope I gave it ample time to sink into your marrow filled bones. The way these guys cut/slice/rip up vocals, rhythms, and re-dub tracks is reallllly appealing to me. It's probably just the fact that they lay a dirty, synthy, stuttery guitar sound over all their tracks. Neon Coyote is back with somewhat of a sequel to their original D.A.N.C.E.P.A.R.T.Y. mixtape. At this point, what isn't there to say. I seriously can't say much else other than, very well done guys. 131 samples in just under 21 minutes. Classic NC style mixing, they are (and have been) establishing their own unique sound and I'd have it no other way. Perhaps they don't need an introduction, but THE VIDEOBAND! trio from France, Sweden, and the Netherlands, has been making me freak out, overheat, melt and turn into vapor for about 2 months now. I had originally been introduced to them through their remix of London's Pop outfit, Sugababes "About you now" by a friend of mine. The stuttery, distorted, high contrast sound was right up my alley. They have since put out remixes of Yelle, Rihanna, and La Parisienne (exxxxxcellent) to name a few. All of these remixes are very, very attractive. [...]

I find myself saying this at least once a day. Australia, with the bag raiders , midnight juggernauts , and knightlife make my life that much better. In Australia, it's a big gay circle jerk of bands that put out amazing sounds and once they're done, they all trade tracks and put out amazing remixes.
