A few days back I received a brand new video from Mayda 's track The Panther, I was really excited because her songs always put a pep on my step while I'm on the treadmill, and plus her last single Silvia was one of my favorite tracks back in July. Mayda - The Panthers [...]

Psychic Soundsystem is two DJ/Producers and good friends of mine from the city of Dallas, half of them used to be part of Sydney Confirm which aside from having excellent music have given us some amazing remixes..On Tuesday Penny was visiting over from Austin and while we were talking of how much we missed the quality Psychic Soundssystems bring to their DJing (they don't do it that often anymore), this remix of Yeasayer O.N.E. remixed by Psychic Soundsystme started playing, so I had to demand them to send it over so I could share [...]

Blessed Feathers is due to release their album next week (September 20th) but has just send another track for you to enjoy; the track is called Stinging Nettle Honeysuckle and unlike their last track, Honeysuckle is a more upbeat track, but just as lovely. Blessed Fathers - Stinging Nettle Honeysuckle [...]

The Rest has been working on their alum " SEESAW" for quite a while and after overcoming a few glitches they are finally releasing it this upcoming year; though this might seem like a long time, they are currently making the first single "Always on My Mind" for free at Bandcamp until Halloween, but you can per-order a copy of SEESAW here . The Rest - Always On My Mind The Rest - The Last Day [...]

It is indisputable that one of my favorite bands this year is Rubblebucket . After the release of their album Omega La La the band has been busy touring and working in other projects, one of those is the Voice Project , in which they made a cover of Sufjan Stevens' song John Wayne Garcy Jr. to raise awareness for violence against women in Uganda. In this post I'm also posting a remix of their song "Down the Yard" as well as the video for John Wayne Garcy Jr. Rubblebucket - Down in [...]

London duo "Age of Consent" are to release their new single "the Beach" on September 5th for your deserving ears. The single was recorder in a 16th century Italian farmhouse (oooh, ahhh) with producer Luke Smith who has worked with Depeche mode, Foals, and Crystal Fighters. Now, the track is really smooth, sexy, and clearly catchy so I think it's a great success from the former members of shitdisco. Below is the song on youtube, confirmed live dates, and a lovely remix IS TROPICAL feat. FOE. [...]

I really like getting those humble emails that are just sweet, simple, personal and great. So I loved getting this. All the way from Nice, France comes Tapenga. Sadly, I only received a link to their Facebook page , but still, I greatly appreciate the music on it (especially "My Hero Beck Died In The 90's"!) and I hope you guys will too. [...]

School is about to start, and that unfortunately means more wasting time. I'm still trying to find out where I'll fit reviewing your beautiful emails in my non-resting schedule (I act as if I had a life). Oh, tear. Anyway, there are some people that are using their time wisely and contributing to our wounded society. Like for example, Airship, who will release their new single "Algebra" on the 5 th of September (As in, this Monday). "Algebra" is taken from their approaching debut album 'Stuck in this Ocean'. Through the power of Youtube , [...]

Wise people always say, " don't judge a book for his father. Sam Padrul sounds like his french and his email looked like a promo for a dumb Dub Step song (Dub Step is ruining the world); localy Sam is nether or those things and his track although his first release is simply superb, I do hope he continues on this track. Sam Padrul - All IDo [...]

New York band Caveman has been busy with their latest release Coco Beware out November 15th, but if you do not wish to wait they have been making some tracks available for your enjoyment this past week. What I love about this band is that their music is so easy to listen, it almost reminds me Beach House in a male voice. Caveman - A Country's King of Dreams Caveman - Easy Water Caveman - Old Friend [...]

Austin singer and song writer Trey Brown just sent over two tracks of his album " Trey Brown & Mission Dorado" in which he features on guitars Austin Jenkins of White Denim. The tracks although unmistakably folk, have certain cerebral lyrics telling stories created in Brown's mind. Brown's voice baritone with a slight rasp fuse this whole songs together allowing the song to flourish. Trey Brown- At Midnight Trey Brown - Desert Mama [...]

Currently they are running a competition for the best remix of this track, the detail can be found by clicking here . By the way if you've been following Work Drugs you can certainly tell how great their music has gotten lately. Work Drugs - Swimmer Girl [...]

I can still remember the first time I heard my first Fionn Regan 's CD, I thought I was going to be bored to tears and then quickly became enchanted by the ease his music made me feel. Today I received his upcoming album, called "100 Acres of Sycamore" and I would be lying if I told you I remembered who he was (not even cause my best friend is called Fionna), but then I heard the actual track "100 Acres of Sycamore" and it not only moved me but it also brought back all those past memories. The [...]

So...is Tyson for real? This guy has done for 80's revival what many hipster out there have tried to do since 08; today he came out with a new track which sounds like a spin of "She's a Maniac" called, "Fight". As soon as the track started my adrenaline started pumping, so I guess I better go and work out (nah, I'll just eat some chips). Tyson - Fight [...]

Luke Temple is a genius, after giving us the beauty that was Here We Go Magic, now comes with a brand new album called "Don't Act Like You Don't Care", that is as juicy as Here We Go was. The track I received "Ophelia" has a very Cajun rhythm which is something that many musician don't attempt (not on the Indie genre), but should. Luke Temple - Ophelia [...]

The French duo is back!!! Housse de Racket is back with a new tack for their upcoming album, which they are releasing now that they've joined the French label Kitsune (finally). Housse de Racket - Roman Housse de Racket - Roman (Oliver Remix) [...]

California Band So Many Wizards have just recently released a brand new video of their track " Best Friends", the track is a very melodic easy to listen track almost kind of simple, sweet, and beautiful; the video although still sweet, simple, and beautiful still strikes a darker tone, which allows the track to feel more powerful. You can purchase the album from http://www.somanywizards.com/s tore I'm sure you wont regret it. So Many Wizards - Best Friends [...]
