Albums of the Day Andrew Bird's Bowl of Fire - Swimming Hour , 2 (pw: killthepoor) ...I've only listened to a few songs but this cd, touted by Andrew himself as his personal favorite, was what initially put him on the indie map...I like what I hear so far, but then again, I'm also a huge Andrew Bird fan. I'm sure you'll like it as well. Sufjan Stevens - Christmas Album Vol I , Vol II , and Vol III (.zip) Vol. I [...]

Recommended If You Like: Imogen Heap combined with The Books Psapp What!? Even though I just wrote that header, I'm still suprised that could be a possiblility. But oddly enough I've found a band, more like 2 master producers having their kicks with blips and clicks, that seems to fit this mold perfectly. Another reason to drop $12 for a rapidshare premium account ...Someone told me these guys were good...what are they, like a rap duo? ...but seriously, although I think I enjoy Paul Simon's solo stuff better, S & G were quite the duo and their music could be played for generations to come and still be damn good no matter what style of music is popular at the time... Simon & Garfunkle Wednesday Morning 3 AM [...]

6/24/2005 10:17:06 AM ***final edit before Monday...song added to player: The Gaskets - Eiffel Tower (this song for some reason makes me really happy, especially towards the end when he keeps screaming "Hey! Ok! The Eiffel Tower fell down today!" Makes me wanna dance around like a fool)*** Even though I really don't want to post another post on top of my giant instrumental post b/c I know that although most of you did read it yesterday, some of you may have not and chances are it'll be lost forever...oh well, I guess [...]

6/23/2005 1:26:44 PM Instrumental I Am ...I've noticed lately my increasing interest in instrumental music of all kinds...whether it be post-rock, techno, or experimental, lately my ipod's been filling itself with lyricless music...today is as good a day as any to share some of the best I've come across...some you may know, most you won't...most bands I'll give a section to and have more than one song but some will simply be a single song...you'll find something that sparks your curiosity I'm sure, and hopefully this'll broaden your musical taste a bit beyond your 50 [...]
