Pat Mahoney's opening solo gambit is an absolute peach, directly summoning the spirit of Arthur Russell as part of Museum Of Love with fellow DFA-er Jay Dee. Exactly the type of off-kilter pop that should be topping the hit parade. Get the WAV here .

It would be remiss not to mention the new Boards of Canada record on these pages; the new LP is indeed very fine, channelling the spirit of John Carpenter and the like, producing an intense listening experience that is best enjoyed in full.
