Sad news about the passing of Etta James at the age of 73; one of THE voices of her (and any) generation, I've a feeling she's an artist whose legend will only rise in her passing. Something rather beautiful for the weekend sir? L.Pierre is a nom de plume for that splendidly potty mouthed bastard, Aidan Moffat (I'm sure he isn't a bastard, it just kinda fitted the sentence). Today's entry has been rattling around my coconut for the last couple of months, I first heard it on a hung over Sunday morning whilst visiting some friends; the compilation playing had been put together by Hunter (Aged 3) and this was his favorite tune.
