For the longest time I basically only liked Homework and parts of Discovery. Let's just say Daft Punk's ploy to get their new album Human After All has worked. It was a fantastic light show, but you could tell that they weren't simply replaying their music. I really didn't expect the Arrow Hall in the Toronto International Center to be that big. Was more of a big warehouse or hanger. There was some genius going on in that pyramid. There were some tracks recorded [...]

Just listened to the Metric - MSTRKRFT remix and loved it. Heard it a while ago but had no idea where to get it. Why aren't there more?! :( Metric - Monster Hospital (MSTRKRFT Remix)

A Lesson In Crime EP Album Genre: Indie Rock, Rock Album Rating: 9/10 1. Cheer It On 2. Nature Of The Experiment 3. Citizens Of Tomorrow 4. Shoulders & Arms 5. If It Works 6. Be Good 7. La Ferrassie The album shows a lot of potential for the New Market based indie band. I find they have [...]

Genre: Indie Rock, Rock They're Canadian! From Victoria, British Columbia. They only formed the band in 2003 and released their 2nd album last year. Interesting stuff. Canadian music is where it's at now! Apologies to the Queen Mary Album Genre: Indie Rock, Rock, Synth Album Rating: 6/10 You Are a Runner and I Am My Father's Son Modern World [...]

Genre: Nerd Hiphop, Hiphop, Rap I think that's a picture of him. He is actually never descriptive of himself nor does he ever post pictures. So I can only guess that's him from a google search. His songs are truely very nerdy masked with the rap overtone. You probably couldn't really tell until you really listen to the lyrics. His lyrics aren't meant to sound good nor rhyme perfectly. I mean, one of his songs he rhymes about porn and the internet. Seriously, if you like gangsta rap and [...]

Genre: Ska, Raggae, Drum and Bass, borderline-Rock I've got mixed feelings about Bedouin Soundclash. They've got some really good songs, but their other songs kind of sounded the same. I really thought their first album Root Fire was much better than their second one. It's more chillout music than anything, you kind of have to be in the mood to like it. It's also really easy to get too much of this music. I really liked some songs if you looked below though. Canadian band from Toronto, [...]

Genre: Indie, Pop Rock Feist, a Canadian songwriter has the most beautiful voice I've ever listened to. Complete different from my regular music, she is very hard to class. I'd have to say somewhere around jazz, bossa nova and soft indie, but that isn't even right. But alot of her songs sounds like they could've been produced during the 1940's, it's very strange that way. Currently she isn't very popular, yet I did jump on the bandwagon quite late. She is about to release her third album and even has her [...]

Genre: Indie Rock, Rock, Power Pop I discovered this band through Serena when she showed me their video for A Million Ways . Instantly liked this band because of that great video. It was meant to be a practice for the actual thing which was a choreographed dance. A dance? This is uncommon for a indie band to do. I knew now that the band enjoyed what they did. They've also got a style which is unique from all those other indie bands you listen to. It borderlines [...]

Oh No Album Genre: Indie Rock, Rock Album Rating: 7/10 1. Invincible 2. Do What You Want 3. Here It Goes Again 4. A Good Idea At The Time 5. Oh Lately It's So Quiet 6. It's A Disaster 7. A Million Ways 8. No Sign Of Life 9. Let It Rain 10. Crash The Party 11. Television, Television 12. Maybe, This Time 13. [...]

Genre: Rock, Synth Rock, Indie Rock Tim told me about this band a while ago. I loved the fact that the band consisted of a bassist and a drummer. That's so much better than The White Stripe's guitarist and drummer. Not only that, but it's the drummer that is singing. At some songs you can hear the drummer going for breaths because he's drumming so much. The songs aren't extremely produced. Some of the lyrics are very interesting. Based from Toronto, bassist Jesse F. Keeler and [...]
As you'll see, I rank the songs by color and not labels. (Red) Amazing! Probably my favorite song in the album. (Orange) The song is pretty good. I'd listen to it again. (Black) It's okay, nothing special about the song, but nothing bad either. (Blue) Mediocre, don't want to see too many of these. (Green) Terrible, why the hell did they even make this song?
