By far the funniest moment of what turned out to a real gut wrencher for Jet fans.

Went to the Bowl last night for a benefit for Haiti, concert featuring Lettuce (comprised of various Soulive members), Maceo Parker, Dr. John, ?uestlove and the The London Souls. With the weather spitting pretty hard, we were on the fence on whether to make the trek from Manhattan to BK. With the persistant rumor that Prince was going to make a surprise appearance following his show at MSG, we figure we be kicking ourselves today if we missed it. Although his Purpleness never showed - it really didn't matter - the artists performances were [...]
"So throw away those lamentations, we both know them all too well / If there's a book of jubilations, we'll have to write it for ourselves / So come and lie beside me darlin' — let's write it while we still got time." Lantern - Josh Ritter
Now we're all for self confidence. We certainly like when a coach sticks his neck out for his team and try's to take the pressure of players his shoulders. What we can't stand however is when a coach literally puts his foot in his mouth and starts making boneheaded statements like "the is all about me vs the other coach". Its not. Adding insult to injury, players then following their coaches rhetoric and start running their mouths even more, end up sounding as stupid as one could be. Just play the game. Let your [...]

From ISS Commander Scott Kelly,( brother-in-law of Gabrielle Giffords, the U.S. Congresswoman who was shot Saturday in Arizona) , recently led a tribute to the victims, lamenting that the planet he observed wasn't a more peaceful one. "These days, we are constantly reminded of the unspeakable acts of violence and damage we can inflict upon one another, not just with our actions but also with our irresponsible words. We are better than this. We must do better."

"Spoke with a struggling sports TV and radio man, late last week. He recognizes that he has a strong voice, but still lacks what it takes: He has never been addicted to drugs or alcohol; he has never been jailed nor even arrested; he has never stolen nor scammed anyone. And he has publicity photos, not mug shots.... He's not as worthy as the overnight TV and radio sensation, Ted Williams . Phil Mushnick - NY Post
"People love music for much the same reason they're drawn to sex, drugs, gambling and delicious food, according to new research. When you listen to tunes that move you, the study found, your brain releases dopamine, a chemical involved in both motivation and addiction. Even just anticipating the sounds of a composition like Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" or Phish's "You Enjoy Myself" can get the feel-good chemical flowing, found the study, which was the first to make a concrete link between dopamine release and musical pleasure." Uh....you think so doctor? Here's the link

Great game Saturday night vs the Peyton & the Colts. Couldn't believe that guy ran into the kicker giving the Jets the ball back with less than 2 min on he clock. Still, we gotta give props to Sanchez and crew for driving down the field and positioning Folk for the game winning field goal This upcoming Pats gams is going to be real fun one to watch. Lets hope the Jets actually show up this time.
