I love this band. There is absolutely nothing they can't do and with every release can amaze absolutely everyone. The video for their latest single Goliath has been making some waves across the world and the band are about to get on the road to promote their new album. Fingers crossed for an Australian visit, they were brilliant live earlier this year. I particulary like the part half way through when a car has to [...]
I'm going to declare it right now, Bridezilla is my favorite Australian band of 2007. There's nothing wrong with this band at all, absolutely nothing, most of the time with even your favorites artists you can find even the smallest of things about them that annoy you, but it's mentally impossible with this band. Having really burst out of nowhere Bridezilla haven't had to do much to get their name out there. Only having played a handful of shows, the band were picked up by independent label, Ivy League, and have continued on graciously ever since. All still [...]
It's safe to say now that local electronic saviours Midnight Juggernauts have a strong fan base and it's now written in the stone withdates announced across the East-Coast of Australia playing atsome of the finest venues. According to whispers floating around, there's going to be an as-yet-announced special guest supporter, fingers crossed for an international act. Earlier in the year, in support of Dystopia , the trio managed to sell our medium capacity venues in no time and were forced to put on second shows, and some cases a third. The guys have shows coming up before [...]
I recently just purchased my tickets for Beirut's show in Melbourne in March, and boy can I not wait for the 11th to come. From what I've heard countless times, Beirut's live show's are really something not to be missed and should be witnessed by everyone no matter what sort of musical background they have or currently listen too. As of late, Beirut's latest album The Flying Club Cup has been suffering from some high rotation within my stereo and when Zack takes the stage at The Corner Hotel, I'll have every single lyric he has ever written [...]
You have no idea how much I'm in love with Black Lips at the moment. Trying to keep it on the lowdown, but I have a sneaking suspicion their brand new album Good Bad Not Evil may appear in a certain someone's end of the year charts, no hints. These guys are everything that you could ever possibly want in a traditional rock and roll band. They've got this attitude about them that could start bar fights, but win ladies over. They're sexy, but they're not. They're so bad, it's good. Cold Hands is [...]

The rumours are true, The Raveonettes are set to release their third studio album, Lust Lust Lust in mid-February 2008. It'll be a three year wait between records as Pretty In Black was released back in 2005 and even got them a Gold Record in Denmark. The new album will be the band's first on indie record label Vice and has already been taken in by leading magazines as NME, claiming the new record is "the most engrossing album to date". Like many people, I'm very much looking forward to this album's release and [...]

The Presets are back and by god is it a miracle that they are. Having been quiet, studio-wise, for the last two years it's pleasuring to hear something new from the guys and a track that is stunning and addictive but absolutely terrifying. My People is the name of the track and an album is planned for release in the first quarter of next year. I can't be the only one excited by all this news, this is too much good news in one day. For those interested in hearing My People , head [...]
Let's have a look at CSS ' back-catalogue shall we? They're responsible for one of the best dance anthems of this decade ( Let's Make Love And Listen To Death From Above ), they've featured on just about every DJ's playlist and have had their tracks remixed way more than any other artist, their track Music Is My Hot Hot Sex now features as the backing music for the iPod Touch commercial and to make this band even more enticing, they have now made a brilliant rendition of freak-folk favorites Grizzly Bear 's hit track [...]

There's an ad floating around on Australian TV's at the moment promoting the new Volkswagen Eos Convertible. Aside from showing off the car, the makers of the ad included a real beautiful and loving song. From first hearing this in the background I was most definitely fallen. I searched numerous sites to find who this artist is and what she does. Within a day of posting a kind stranger got back to me and confirmed it was the delightful and enjoyable Londoner Basia Bulat whose latest album Oh My Darling is making a huge impact down [...]
What better way to start off a brand new blog by posting a video by the highly hilarious and entertaining Dan Deacon . For those unaware of the magically creative furry head of imagination, you only have to watch the video for Crystal Cats to realise what a childlike wonder he is. Dan's a prodigy, combining unique instruments like electronic gadgets, keyboards and literally anything he can find in the trash that makes an interesting sound. People [...]
