(one of) the best Simpsons quotes ever.....

Homer: Marge? Since I'm not talking to Lisa, would you please ask her to pass me the syrup? Marge: Dear, please pass your father the syrup, Lisa. Lisa: Bart, tell Dad I will only pass the syrup if it won't be used on any meat product. Bart: You dunkin' your sausages in that syrup homeboy? Homer: Marge, tell Bart I just want to drink a nice glass of syrup like I do every morning. Marge: Tell him yourself, you're ignoring Lisa, not Bart. Homer: Bart, thank your mother for pointing that out. Marge: Homer, [...]

The Big Lebowski - When You Find A Stranger In The Alps
This is what happens when you....air The Big Lebowski in the United States. At least their starting to get creative.....I cannot even watch classic movies like The Breakfast Club on television anymore. My fiance has an old VHS tape from the late eighties that has a network airing of The Breakfast Club on it and the strange thing is that, TODAY, in 2007, the movie is censored EVEN MORE than in 1988. I don't know how I feel about that. Actually, I DO know how i feel about that. It's [...]

The slow, crushing death of employment...

The slow, crushing death of employment... YAY. It's the Monday after Thanksgiving and I'm back at work. Whoopee. I love this place ( sarcasm alert ). I can't wait to see if I actually get laid off today, or if they're gonna string me along for another week... pray-to-baby-jesus I hope that doesn't happen. Anybody else experiencing the same soul-gutting, flourescent, hamster-on-a-wheel sense of life-sucking that I'm feeling today? I need the [...]

Stuck in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, thrown in jail on a litterin' charge, and if it weren't for Alice, good old' Arlo might still be sittin' in that there jail cell.... I'd like to wish everybody a Happy Thanksgiving. R.I.P. Mary Lillian Ellison "The Fabulous Moolah"

R.I.P. Mary Lillian Ellison "The Fabulous Moolah" I just wanted to take this opportunity to recognize The Fabulous Moolah, star of the squared-circle for over 50 years. She passed away on Nov. 2nd of undisclosed causes. Moolah was a highly decorated wrestler who had basically held her title for the better part of 30 years. She got her name from her desire to make money doing what she loved, and she did just that, wrestling and making appearances until shortly before her death at the age of 83. I remember sitting in front of the TV on Saturday mornings in the early 80's, [...]

Kind of makes you proud, doesn't it?

A recent study found the average American walks about 900 miles per year. Another study found Americans drink, on average, 22 gallons of beer a year. That means, on average, Americans get about 41 miles to the gallon. Kind of makes you proud to be an American.

A little gun history....

Disclaimer: this is a total cut-and-paste job. My instinct is to pick these stats apart, and point -counterpoint them. Let's have a discussion. A LITTLE GUN HISTORY FACTS I Thought you might appreciate this . In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. ------------------------------ In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. ------------------------------ Germany established gun control in 1938 [...]

I flirted, and I won.

I flirted, and I won. That's right, I flirt, and I win...and it was so easy, too. I couldn't believe how amazingly simple it was to make her give me exactly what I wanted. And you KNOW what I wanted. And if you were thinking "Is he talking about a Flying Dog keychain?", then you, my friend, were exactly right. I went to Nikki's Liquors tonight, after hitting the gym. I had some fresh veggies in hand for a kick ass dinner, and all I needed was some liquid refreshments to [...]

Couldn't help but think....

While driving home from the gym tonight, I just couldn't help but notice the Dodge Caravan in front of me. The two bumper stickers on the back of the vehicle really confounded me. One said and the other one, situated right next to it, said i guess the point I'm trying to get across or the observation I am trying to express here is that, if this country continues on the path that it is on, then my [...]

New Music Alert: The Cave Singers - 'Seeds Of Night'

New Music Alert: The Cave Singers - 'Seeds Of Night' THE CAVE SINGERS Once again, another track that has latched on to me and I can't seem to shake it. Like an ugly dog that your parents gave you because they thought that you could use some responsibility in life but all you really wanted was pizza and some beer. Wow, anyway, Seattle's The Cave Singers consist of, I don't know, some people I assume. They probably play instruments. Can you tell that Jameson's tired today?? The track that I'm going [...]
