The Underachievers have dropped a new track titled "May's Patience," which is great and continues to showcase the talents of these bona fide East Coast spitters, but what's even more exciting is the description of the embedded track above teases toward a new full-length project on the way from the up-and-coming duo this June, CHAPTER 23 ! Looking forward to it. Stream and enjoy! Check a review for the duo's latest mixtape, Indigoism , below:
Two bouncy, colorful house tracks from Airbird & Napolian streaming via the widget above, and they've got a pretty warped and wonky vibe to 'em. Moments on "In The Zone" give off some pretty nostalgic and chillwave-esque vibes, but I think you'll find "Special" to be much more driving and infectious. According to Cascine Records, these guys should be dropping a collaborative full-length this winter! Enjoy!
A pretty fun music video from Thao & the Get Down Stay Down, which involves a number of different, creative facial manipulations performed on a number of actors who are all lip-syncing to this incredibly catchy track from Thao's latest full-length album, We The Common . Enjoy!
Tits 'N Explosions by Nocando A new collection of tracks from West Coast MC Nocando on Hellfyre Club, which is that same label that dropped those great Milo EPs earlier this year. Don't go into this project expecting even roughly the same thing, though. What Nocando brings to the table are some odd and eyebrow-raising pop raps that feature some modern, noisy beats that bang with no shame whatsoever. I have to agree with the addition of "RAP GAME MICHAEL BAY MOVIE!" in the description. [...]
The vocal samples on "Speakers R-4 (Sounds)" may make a pretty obvious statement, but the track is still a pretty spacious and captivating piece of footwork. RP Boo, a.k.a. Kavain Space, is a Chicago-based producer, and one of the originators of a fast, jittery electronic music style known as footwork. He's got a new full-length out via Planet Mu titled Legacy . Enjoy!
Metal outfit Deafheaven has dropped the title track from their forthcoming album, Sunbather , which is set for release on Deathwish Inc. next month. The song takes a load of black metal theatrics and executes them with triumphantly beautiful lead melodies. Enjoy! Also, catch a review for a previously released track from the band, "Dream House," below:
A new music video from Kendrick Lamar with toys with some comedic and dramatic ideas involving partying, death, violence. There's even a call for the death of Molly at the end of the video. The themes are nice, but it's really the visuals on this video that impress: a somber funeral where attendees are dressed in white, rolling hills behind a beautiful and grassy field, and a funeral procession that looks more like an all-out party. This track comes from Lamar's latest full-length, Good Kid m.A.A.d City , which you can catch a review for below:
The National comes through with yet another syrupy, impenetrable ode to life's most blasé moments. WATCH THE REVIEW

Fix My Life by Melt Yourself Down Streaming above is a cut from the forthcoming, self-titled Melt Yourself Down record, which is gonna be released in June. As of right now, the UK band is streaming a few songs from it, and "Fix My Life" is one of 'em. The combo of sounds on this track is a hot and overwhelming blend of afrobeat, electronic dance music, psychedelic rock, and various shades of Middle Eastern music as well. It might seem like a far-fetched idea in concept, but Melt Yourself Down brings the sounds, grooves, and [...]
As one half of the group formerly known as Hype Williams, a duo which now goes under the more self-explanatory title Dean Blunt and Inga Copeland, Dean Blunt has specialized in obtuse, abstract electronic pop, though I use the term "pop" this loosely. With the idea of pop tends to come a relateable sort of accessibility with the potential for wide appeal, but it was this fundamental characteristic which Dean and Inga seemed determined to obscure. On last year's Black is Beautiful , the pair buried their humanness under a lo-fi haze of synth-based instrumentals. Dean Blunt is not [...]
Some fast, jagged, angular, wild, spastic, and some what zany post-hardcore from the guys in Let's Talk Daggers . The trio just dropped a new full-length in March titled Fantastic Contraption . I'm gonna give the full-length a listen as soon as I make heads or tails of this video!
An eerie fusion of electronic music and hip hop on this new track from When Saints Go Machine, "Love and Respect," which is a cut from the Danish quartet's new album, Infinity Pool . It's dropping this week via EMI Records and !K7 Records.
Takes Time by Jim Guthrie Use the widget above to stream the new full-length LP from Toronto singer-songwriter Jim Guthrie. The dude may not be a household name-well, I guess his last name is-but he's been active in music for about 20 years now. He's got a lengthy list of projects and albums to prove it, too. Jim isn't your average facial hair-sporting guitar strummer. Jim is lyrically focused, melodically concise, and this tracks on this latest album of his are nicely produced as well with shimmering guitars and finely [...]
Given the copious amount of what look like maggots on the front cover of Pharmakon's Abandon , it should be pretty clear that this music is not for the squeamish. What this one-woman power electronics project offers in terms of sound is pretty abrasive. The song streaming above, "Ache," delivers ear-piercing tones, harsh screams, and metallic juts of percussion that attack the senses in a notably thrilling way. Look for Pharmakon's latest release on Sacred Bones.
A session performance from UK post-punk outfit Savages, which comes courtesy of KEXP. The band performs a number of cuts from their new, debut full-length, Silence Yourself. Catch a review for the album below:
Bizarre Tribe: A Quest to The Pharcyde by Amerigo Gazaway of Gummy Soul Gummy Soul presents a collection of tracks that bring A Tribe Called Quest-inspired instrumentals under a number of vocal cuts from 90s-era hip hop start The Pharcyde. Stream and enjoy via the widget above, and download it on a name-your-price basis on Bandcamp .
The Dillinger Escape plan comes through again with another solid set of pummeling, difficult riffs and catchy choruses on this new full-length album. WATCH THE REVIEW
A beautifully eerie new cut from oOoOO titled "Mouchette," which should be featured on the project's debut full-length, Without Your Love , toward the end of June via Nihjgt Feelings. Dig the murk and the bass on this one! The vocal samples are an incredibly beautiful touch as well, and reminds me a bit of early Crystal Castles tracks as well. Enjoy!
