Speaking of Stornoway below, the guys just released a new video for the track Watching Birds .  Really looking forward to this vinyl on our turntable come August 10th.  Wonder if we will get an LA show?

We kinda just happened upon these guys randomly one day and the album is hooking us in more and more.  Something about them reminds us of a modern day Kingston Trio - that's a compliment.  Their debut, Beachcomber's Windowsill , is made up of 11 little gems. The cover art is here and we quite like it.  Great photo, a contender for our photograph of the week?  Diggin' the lamp and the dresser and the mood set by the gold tone. A little Vegas in the background, of course. 

Fantastic clip of Editors playing this year's Glastonbury .  This really makes us fall in love with music all over again. A beautifully shot performance.  The color of the early evening sunlight hitting the band and the stage plays perfectly with Tom Smith's haunting vocals.  He's intense on stage as well, something so many folks lack today.  Honestly our favorite performance of the year (so far). We are still blasting this damn Yeah Yeah Yeah song from New Politics , who knew we'd become so nostalgic for that 90's sound?  The guys just released a new video for the track, as opposed to this older clip that's been playing over and over again across the web.  David Boyd is up to more of his insane shenanigans - busting out his signature dance moves, standing on his head, jumping up walls, flipping upside down everywhere, and doing some wild double kick move [...]

We saw The Bravery guys out at a party over the weekend and it reminded us how much we loved the band's last album, Stir The Blood .   In fact, looking back, it stands as their strongest body of work.   The album's lead off single, Slow Poison , boosted a great video that we are running as this week's random pick. We really need to pick up Stir The Blood on vinyl. 

Peter Murphy will release his ninth studio album this fall, appropriately titled Ninth .  Murphy released a statement regarding the album - “I have had my Ninth album ready to go for a while now,” Peter explains. “I’ve been playing it live, alongside Bauhaus classics and my own hits, long before the official release and it’s added more stardust to the long shelf life of songs I have under my belt.” Lovin' this news on the day [...]

The first solo track from Brandon Flowers has hit the web.  It's been popping up all over the place and being pulled down just as fast.  Hurry and listen before the below link is obsolete.  Track is called Crossfire from the upcoming album Flamingo .  Sounding good so far. 

Speaking of recent obsessions below, nothing beats our freakish love for Yeah Yeah Yeah by New Politics .  You know how every once in a great while a song comes along that you just can't get the f**k out of your head?
