Nitzer Ebb's excellent new album, Industrial Complex , will receive a very limited release on picture disc vinyl. The release is limited to a tiny 500 pieces, and unfortunately not available in the U.S. - ugh. More . Release, May 17th. Love to have this album properly released in the U.S. on vinyl.

We've finally got some Moz -related news to post. 2010's been a slow Morrissey news year. A demo version of The Smiths Paint A Vulgar Picture has made its way onto the web. Nothing too different here give or take some alternate lyrics which makes it worth checking out.

On this day back in 1993, Depeche Mode released the U.S.12" for their second single from Songs Of Faith And Devotion , Walking In My Shoes . I still remember the hype and the buzz around this track, which was the perfect follow up to its rockier predecessor, I Feel You . For the first time in ages, Madonna channels some of her original, retro flair that hooked the world back in the early 80's. The chains, the cross, the look. There's a ton of references here to the days of old. There's lots of talk today throughout the web of folks comparing these new shots to the photo shoot for Madonna's debut album. We can see it. Kieth Murray rocks some rather comical moves on his little foot powered scooter in the new video for the band's Nice Guys . Kids and squirrels run for safety if you see Murray rollin' up your street. We especially like the fancy footwork around the 1:50 mark - in true We Are Scientists video fashion, of course:

What's going on? Deftones are making really good music again. We got a glimpse of it with Rocket Skates , and now with the release of the title track to their upcoming album, Diamond Eyes . May 1st hits tomorrow and that brings us officially into a-ha U.S. touring time. The band will play Los Angeles at Club Nokia May 15th and 16th. Shows in New York, Chicago and Toronto will also take place. In anticipation of the upcoming Los Angeles dates, we present to you a revisit to the epic video (and follow up to the massive Take On Me ), The Sun Always Shines On TV . Video complete with creepy mannequins of course. The countdown begins.

We love this "unplugged" shot of Dan Black . What's interesting here is that the photo was taken by 16-year-old up-and-coming English photographer Eleanor Hardwick . It was actually difficult to choose just one photo from her selection of Black shots. Check out the runner up here . Visit Hardwick's official site to see more of her work. One to watch for sure. She infuses interesting concepts into her work and strays from the typical.

We stumbled upon the above photo of an "unplugged" Dan Black this week and were surprised to find out that it was shot by a 16 year old up and coming fashion photographer, Eleanor Hardwick . Actually all of her shots of Black are pretty amazing and it was hard to choose just one. Click here to see our runner-up. Check out examples of her work over on her official site . Flowers will step away from The Killers to give us his first solo outing titled Flamingo . Far , anybody remember Far ? We've got to admit, we'd forgotten all about the Sacramento band, yet we used to be big fans. We'd rock out to the records, and we even followed front man Jonah Matranga beyond the dissolution of Far to his new project (at the time) Online Drawing . Smile was an insanely great track with the R2-D2 accompaniments. Anyway, the good news is, Far reunited and they are back in business. New album [...]

Eat Raw Meat = Blood Drool is hands down our favorite selection from the band's most recent album In This Light And On The Evening . The band just released a video for the track, the perfect accompaniment. It's a little bit demented, a little bit twisted, and full of great animation. A fun game of spot the messages within. Happy to see Eat Raw Meat = Drool Blood get the love it deserves.

Jose González is stepping aside from his usual work and re-connecting with his band Junip . Junip's been on and off for the past decade. The band's first 7" was released back in 2000. González and his two bandmates, Elias Araya and Tobias Winterkor , plan to release a Junip EP and full-length later this year. [...]

This one's been around for a bit, but we are just now getting to it. In case you haven't heard, Nada Surf put their very own spin on Depeche Mode's classic, Enjoy The Silence . A huge undertaking as this is one of the most coveted Depeche Mode songs out there. They definitely mix it up. Comparison's to Failure's 1998 cover are inevitable from the Depeche Mode tribute album, For The Masses .

Billy Idol recently performed a full acoustic set at the annual Zermatt Unplugged Festival in Switzerland. Would love to make it there some day, artists perform at the base of the Matterhorn mountain. The below clip is taken from Idol's acoustic rehearsals for the show in Los Angeles. Catch a very different take on Rebel Yell . Idol will be back in the hood for a show at the Hollywood Palladium on August 14th.
