Bay Area folks - tell us this track doesn't take you back to the days of The Edge in Palo Alto or One Step Beyond in Santa Clara? Ah, the memories. The very Depeche Mode heavy track was a staple in the 80's and it still sounds good blasting on the speakers today. We've actually enjoyed Camouflage's entire career from start to current day. The early Depeche Mode comparisons were an extremely high compliment. Relive below. Don't know the track? Get an introduction:

One of our favorite shots by the self taught genius Kevin Westenberg . He perfectly captures the mischievous playfulness we all know and love in Mike Skinner . Prints of this photo are up for sale here . To see more of Kevin's work visit his official site .

A Jonas Brother, Jake Gyllenhaal in tear away pants, RZA , and Lil' John all on the tennis court? Yep, that's the premise of the bizarre and slightly wonderfully demented new video from Vampire Weekend for Giving Up The Gun . The video's been out there for a few days, so if you haven't seen it, check the below:

In a little expansion to our original post on the No Doubt Ska EP bootleg 45 - This release is actually quite a little gem for the old school fans who favor the band's original ska-tinged flavor. The "live" side is pretty fantastic featuring the instrumental Guns Of Navaronne and a nice little take on The Special AKA's Racist Friend . The highlight here is the cover of Ghost Town [...]

Most of you who read this site know that we've got some mad love for ska, especially the stuff born out of the original 2 Tone era. Many folks forget that No Doubt's early roots stem pretty heavily from ska and 2 Tone - think late 80's/very early 90's No Doubt . A new bootleg 45 titled No Doubt, The Ska EP , pays homage to the ska side of the band. The EP features three live covers on the first side; Ghost [...]
We've been waiting for someone to post footage of Photographic from Depeche Mode's Royal Albert Hall performance, and video (very well shot) has finally hit the web. Photographic is one of our all time favorite Depeche Mode songs. A track taken from Depeche's debut album Speak & Spell . Don't forget you can purchase the entire show on double-CD or digital download. Both formats are up for pre-order now via Live Here Now [...]

We've got one more Depeche Mode , Royal Albert Hall, video worth posting. In addition the the Alan Wilder/Martin Gore collaboration on Somebody , and the fact that the guys busted out one of our favorite all time tracks ( Photographic ), Martin Gore performed a beautiful rendition of One Caress complete with a string section. Great fan shot video below:
Alan Wilder shocked Depeche Mode fans this evening as he took the stage with Martin Gore to play piano on Somebody . A truly historic moment in the world of Depeche Mode and surly one that most fans (including us) never thought we'd see. Who knows what this may mean for the future? A glimpse of hope for a return perhaps? The two clips below offer a look at the performance of Wilder and Gore on stage together at the [...]

Uh, not what we expected. As everyone else has pretty much stated today, it's very Sonic The Hedgehog meets Felix The Cat. Not sure what to think of it, but there's no denying a nice retro vibe. Not boring anyway. Congratulations is due here in the U.S. on April 13th. There's also a limited edition CD and/or vinyl LP with scratch off cover for pre-order - scratch off? Hmm....see here for more details.

The Nitzer Ebb crew gives us a little glimpse into their recent stop in Russia. They guys are still on the road with Depeche Mode . What a bill, eh? A dream paring to us. If you haven't seen Ebb live this round, you are truly missing out. They are at the top of their game. Watch below for a peek into the lives of Bon, Douglas and Jason on the road.

The track's up for sale on iTunes this week. The full CD version is on the way March 9th via the UK. The single includes 5 tracks, Rocket in original form plus four remixes - 1) R ocket 2) Rocket (Tiesto Mix) 3) Rocket (Richard X One Zero Remix) 4) Rocket (Penguin Prison Remix) 5) Rocket [...]

The guys took the Jimmy Kimmel Live stage last night and it looked something like (well just like) this: Papillon followed by Bricks and Mortar :

Sometimes folks take music way too seriously. There are times we just need something ridiculous, obnoxious and loud. Currently guilty pleasures play out like this: 1) Bush , Testosterone - Listen 2) Gravy Train!!!! , Hella Nervous - Listen 3) Robbie Williams , Bodies - Listen 4) Madonna , Gambler - listen 5) LL Cool J , [...]
Beat The Devil's Tattoo is among us....

Caged Baby take on Editors with their reworking of the band's current single You Don't Know Love . The remix officially appears as part of a UK digital single bundle and will also appear on the upcoming UK CD single for the track. The band's U.S. label are currently giving it away for free (or well for filling out lots of fields on yourself) right here . You Don't Know Love single artwork below: [...]

Love this live photo of LL shot in Philly in 1985 by the infamous Lawrence Watson . Not only do we love the actual photograph itself, but the ghetto blaster action is pretty extraordinary. Photo on auction here . Lawrence Watson official site .

It's pretty crazy (and F'in great) to see a band like The Specials take the cover of a magazine in 2010. The guys (minus Jerry, who sadly declined participation in the reformation of the band) will play a pre-Coachella gig at Club Nokia here in Los Angeles on April 15th. We're surprised to see a pre-Coachella show happening outside of the allowed Glass House performances. Hmmm... A few other North American dates are popping up here and there as well: April 19 Toronto, The Sound Academy ( on sale [...]

We've been in the middle of a little James fest as we re-configure our IPOD. We had a lot of tracks missing, but we've corrected the problem now. Anyway, the whole thing spawned the strange fact that, despite loving the song, we'd never seen the video for Sit Down . Bizarre. People, dogs and sheep all get in on the action. Lots of random chairs as well. The video takes the title pretty literally to say the least.

Lots of folks have been waiting on the a-ha U.S. dates and they've finally been announced. The good new? There's a show right here in LA on May 15th at Club Nokia. The bad news? The only other U.S. shows announced are in New York City. Everyone else may need to book a flight if they want to catch the guys as part of their Farewell Tour . The New York and LA stops break down like this: May 6 Nokia Theatre, New York City May 7 Nokia [...]
