![Fantastic Foursome [Vol.24]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/1248756_lg.jpg)
Haven't done a fantastic foursome in ages! Ignore the slow start (very plain opening 30sec), and you will be thoroughly thoroughly satisfied with this Yuksek masterpiece... I love the high pitched whining thing that drones as the hook - highly danceable shiz.... seriously - it's entered my 'best of 2008' short-list (Sorry, the preview below is only a sample... but don't worry, the download file is the full track!) U-God - Ugodzilla (Yuksek Remix) (I just wrote shiz ... weak) [...]

It looks as though ROCCANOVA isn't the only decent DJ on the strip.... Vegas DJ's This Is My Empire are the standouts (in my books) for august 2008 - I'm pretty sure anyone who can revive DVNO for me, (as well as provide a whole host of other remixes worthy of praise) deserves this accolade This Is My Empire - Dancing To War Drums Justice - DVNO (This Is My Empire Remix) [...]

Still Practical Design A replacements for those wanting to have the classic French cool of coffee and cigarettes, but without the swamp of tar in their lungs. Scrapes in the 'practical' section as it's designed to replace the teaspoon (plus, if it didn't have a proper use it'd be the lamest/uncoolest thing you could ever use). It's a bench and it glows... imagine parks filled with these... it'd be like a year round rave for possums An indoor skateboard: comfy leather top [...]
And the month's also proved fruitful on the video side of things: More from the That-Go film crew: The Presets new clip And a high pitched newcomer on the Australian Music Scenes, Andy Bull Show Additional Mp3's + Flash Content Show Original Item
I'm back... it' a been a LONG month. Too much work! (AND I FINISHED MY ART!! which I've ever so humbly pasted above) Anyway, on the music side of things - My iTunes decided it would wipe itself the other day (so i have to now rename about 800-1200 tracks from the pile)... so I've reverted to CD's since, which has meant I've had Little Pictures 'Owl+Owl' album on repeat for almost a month (it actually gets better and better every time you play it... top stuff) And the mail inbox filled rapidly with [...]

The Federal Government today announced that it is changing the Coat of Arms to a CONDOM because it more accurately reflects the Government's political stance... A condom allows for inflation, halts production, destroys the next generation, protects a bunch of pricks, and gives you a sense of security while you're actually being screwed! Damn, it just doesn't get more accurate than that. Show Additional Mp3's + Flash Content Show Original Item

The next month COULD become very quiet from this end of the service, so don't lose faith in the blog - IT'LL ONLY BE TEMPORARY - I'm just going to be very busy with other stuff and might not have time to be posting new music and art so regularly. Then again, maybe not.... this is just a pre-emptive warning But what it will mean is when I get back on the job, I'll have a whole stockpile of new shit to sort through [...]
How many stoned weekends have you sat around the apartment, watching the afternoon kids shows on the TV (because CableTV's too expensive), and although mildly entertained by the General Viewing (G) rating, you just wanted all those colours and seriously simple scripts to take one tiny step towards mature entertainment – nothing big – no M15+, just your regular PG would be awesome. Enter Little Pictures ; providing that perfect balance between childish incorruptibility and zest with the maturity and sensibility of what makes the whole thing work for the masses. This New Zealand bedroom-pop [...]
This post couldn't be more retarded... I don't know where to start - it really has no common thread - just cool shit that's come up in the inbox/subscriptions this week: First up is Van She's new video: To follow up on the alternate smash of a first single Strangers , the next official release will be the swingin' future vintage that is Changes . With its sexy bass lines and infectious guitar laden melodies, the boy's deliver another sure classic just the way we expect it. [...]

Hot Seconds are a brooklyn-based indie-rock outfit formed in 2007. UK-born singer/songwriter, lover, and composer/producer Westwood, whose credits include, among others, seminal industrial godfathers front 242 and NYC band spill, became acquainted through a chance meeting and, in discovering their mutual passion for brit pre/post-punk/rock, set out to work on a few songs for a "project" EP. far surpassing their expectations and delighted with the fruits of said efforts, it was decided to develop/re-envision the project and the duo decided to put a full band together in order to translate these songs live. Plajia , composed of Patrick Pleau (lead vocals, guitars, keyboards and harmonica), Simon Boivin (bass and backing vocals) and Pascal Laviolette (drums, percussion and backing vocals), is another Canadian band to make it's way onto SYDNEYSOUDNER this year.... (now I know what it feels like for all the other blogs being flooded with Aussie upstarts!) Anyway, they released their debut album in 2007 to the following reviews: ...From gripping beginning to grandiose end, [ Beatiful Explosion 's] voyage through eleven songs transports us in an impressionist soundscape, where unbridled [...]

Ali Alvarez is the brain behind I LOVE MY LIFE THE WAY IT IS , a collection of unscratched lottery tickets that says a lot of things to different people. It lives as a web project now and will be made into a book as well as shown in a gallery in the future. At the moment the collection has about 250 tickets and needs about 7500 more to reach the final goal of creating a 3.5m² artwork They would love to get contributions from all over the world and would appreciate your [...]
I've been busy doing actual work (yes, i didn't think it was possible either) for the last few days, so I'm a few hours late on this one... The boys behind Bikini sent through the links yesterdy, but because my internet's so slow I'm yet to give it a listen (all I can do is preview the tracks on MySpace) Anyway, Bikini released their debut EP yesterday: Concerning The N ο 7 And Your Love It's available here on a 'name your own price' [...]
![Broken Hookers [New Links]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/1138786_lg.jpg)
Broken Hookers are Darren and Jay... a Middlesbrough dwelling duo with a fancy for playing music to strangers, friends and lovers. From the selection I've got my hands on so far I've concluded they're sound is minimal, yet strangely filling/satisfying. Beats from Broken Hookers remind me of the first days listening to Mr. Scruff or Kid Koala: that perfect blend of beats and neutral grinding interwoven by amazing pops, squeaks, and other over-enthusiastic nibbles of sound... I'm definitely a big fan of Get People , but Dig This isn't a bad track [...]
