Broken Hookers are Darren and Jay... a Middlesbrough dwelling duo with a fancy for playing music to strangers, friends and lovers. From the selection I've got my hands on so far I've concluded they're sound is minimal, yet strangely filling/satisfying. Beats from Broken Hookers remind me of the first days listening to Mr. Scruff or Kid Koala: that perfect blend of beats and neutral grinding interwoven by amazing pops, squeaks, and other over-enthusiastic nibbles of sound...
