10. Bring Me Down (ft. Brandy) to me this is a continuation of "all falls down". kanye delivers lyrics both amusing ("you're girl don't like me/ how long has she been gay?") and personally conscious ("everybody feel a way about k, but at least ya'll feel something"). brandy adequately fills the role of the female singer crooning about a la "all falls down". i was embarrassed for kanye when he forced the rhyme of "single" ("and everybody wanna run to me for they sin-glay"). earlier, i praised kanye for creating everyday rhymes for everyday [...]
so "late registration" dropped officially. i think the hate and love, from the internet and music publications, for the record has been about equal. i found this writer's thoughts on "late registration" quite... funny. somebody should take that motherfucker back to school. in his attempt to knock mr. west, mr. farber committed an all to common sin and downplayed the production on "touch the sky". give just blaze his credit (or discredit, in this case) damnit! i would get my hate on a little more, but look at that guy. so what if he won some music criticism [...]

i'm back at school. today was my second day of classes and i'm still shifting around as to what classes i really want to take. anyways, i'll be back up and running soon. i did get some new nike fc's and the latest complex mag (w/ kanye on the cover as you can see). complex mag is a really dope magazine. i think i like it better than most other music/fashion/etc. magazines in the lines of the fader et al. anyways, check back soon!
kanye west ft. lupe fiasco - "touch the sky" (prod. by just blaze)
the clipse - "egchk" "eghck" could possibly be the greatest title for a track ever especially if you are a frequent clipse listener and have experienced the "egchk" sound many times. i think i might hear "hell hath no fury" in full before it ever drops on shelves. while the tracks that drop are dope, i hope i don't get disappointed as with skillz "confessions of a ghostwriter" that has years old tracks on it. on the track, pharrell is yelling on a megaphone [...]

little brother - "hold on (tellin' me)" "hold on" can be found on the b-side to the "lovin' it" single. i think ever since "sleepers" i've been seeing rapper big pooh in a new light. i think he's really been stepping up as an MC and his emergence coupled with the record's production made it an enjoyable listen and a pretty good solo record. some would say that it was even better than nicolay and phonte's collabo (as foreign exchange) "connected". and big pooh shows continued progress spitting first on "hold on". [...]

official cover for the next little brother albulm dropping in september. there is a big argument over there on the bored at trickology.com about it. i'm heading back to school on august 18 and there looks to be a grip of releases i'm looking forward too. little brother, ghostface, trife da god, kanye west.. blah blah blah. when is the clipse gonna drop? does anyone out there have any news on the clipse? that's the record i'm really waiting for. [...]
nas - "body ya self" (50 cent/g-unit diss) yes that is jay-z back in the late 80's. prodigy could have sure used this footage. by now, we all know that nas responded to 50 cent (subliminally of course!). i've had the track for a while, but it was all buried under "statik selectah" every couple seconds. call it whatever you want "mc burial" or "body ya self" but it's a decent track. reminds me of the "stillmatic" freestyle joint nas did before he dropped "ether" in that it seems like an intro [...]

dangerdoom ft. ghostface - "the mask" the upcoming dangerdoom record is looking better and better as new tracks are released. when "mince meat" dropped some time back it was okay. nothing special from either doom or dm, but it was good to hear something come from them. when "sofa king" dropped i started getting excited about the dangerdoom record. then all that news about ghostface and doom came about. btw i'm eagerly anticipating the many releases ghostface has lined up. "the mask" is the latest track to be released to the loveable [...]

i'm going to put up a real blog entry, a look into my life entry. so don't read if you don't care haha. just warning you if you looking for music and only music (i got music in this post though!). anyways, i love scarlett johansson... i mean i really hate going on vacation. not because i don't have a dope time or anything, but because when i leave my life just goes back to normal. this coming saturday i'm gonna fly back home to virginia beach from florida. i'm gonna unpack my stuff, sit in my chair, and just [...]

i just finished watching kanye west's set on mtv's live8 thing. it kind of makes me want to see dude live forreal b/c he was pretty hype and entertaining (and he only did a couple songs). when he did "jesus walks" he started doing some crazy dancing. that picture of pablo picasso is kinda crazy too. wilco - "jesus, etc." anyways, last night was a bunch of hooter's wings ($.25/each) and cutting garcia y vega's (w/ a blunt blade). it was pretty fun and [...]

kanye west - "gold digger" NO DJ! jamie foxx as ray charles wailing away in the background, kanye rhyming about some crazy trick, rehashed drums, back country strums = kanye west's latest track "gold digger". well the beat is low key for a kanye production. and i have yet to hear the influence of jon brion and it obviously not on this one. actually, i said that comment just to be smart. i know jon brion did the "i heart the huckabees" sound track, but i don't really know much about him and brion being a [...]
newsflash (if you care): i was talking about getting a casio exilim ex-z40. good thing i decided against that because i found out that the camera was garbage in the most important function of a camera. it simply did not take good pictures. so i'm heading towards a minolta dimage g400 now. if anybody out there is looking for a new, compact digital camera, i would recommend this one. the guys at dpnow.com reviewed the minolta thoroughly and it got good-excellent scores across the board. anyways, enough of this camera talk. i got some [...]
nas and quan - "off the top" prod. by les back on the block with this heater from les, nas, and quan. i'm not saying this because quan is from newport news, virginia, but there's nobody better for nas to pass the baton to. quan does have a better moniker than most of nas qb brethren. come on now, jungle, lake, horse, wiz? did they run out of names in the hood? these cats picked their names out of a hat or something? "damn, i can't [...]
