This track falls into that sweet spot of too old to tell your friends about (it came out in 2009) and too new to be considered "ironic" in a dance DJ set. I just discovered this remix last night and was really shocked by all of the 80's / Daft Punk sounding instruments. Its a very pleasant song with great emotion and I think its just wonderful. But I can also picture it being played in the opening credits of Drive 2... which bothers me.

Maybe one of my favorite song of the past couple months and with out a doubt my favorite video. Everyone in the band is so unashamedly into it and they all look like goofy caricatures of 1970's fashion. Make sure you make it to the xylophone solo at 1:50, the guy playing it looks like he's wearing a gorilla suit without the head.

I spotted this in a DJ's bag recently and knew it was going to be amazing. Its the perfect track to pull out if you were doing a set of obscure dance and the crowd is dying for something some what familiar.

As a fan of Dent May I was very curious when I found out he created a mix for the new Altered Zones recreation Adhoc. And take it from me fans this mix does not disappoint with substance. From start to finish nothing but rare boogie, disco and r&b gems appear that make one want to jump up and down. The only let down is the total disregard for any sort of mixing, all songs seem to play in their entirety and slowly fade out. But whatever, it's very enjoyable. Dr. Togo - Be Free [...]
