10 pm: driving near the art museum, lost on the river. 11 pm: arrive to the big house-- everyone just speaking in German. 12 am: find an archaic knock-off "Senyo" soundsystem. 1 am: whole crew is moving their bodies to this dusty 12" we found in the fireplace: 2 am: still moving-- an Ivy League physicist found the soundtrack to Grease.

Come on GUYS! What's up w/ the Clown Song Contest anyway? Even Crispin Glover submitted a track. He wanted me to post it here to get you guys inspired to make some good music....

This song is about a clown comedian who works at a cocktail lounge. He dreams of becoming a real contender and going out clubbing w/ lot's of high dollar prostitutes, but in reality, his job is to tell corny jokes in between jazz bands.

Only two days left in the contest that Winnie won't be participating in! I expect a flood of submissions over the next 48 hours. I hear Sufficient Records might even release a compilation of all of the entries (wow!). So this contest has consequences, big ones.

I'm not participating in this latest "competition" (is something a competition when there's no penalty for losing?) but I am listening to Cat Stevens this afternoon. I know: I can't shake the Wes Anderson feeling either, but Back to Earth is a really good album.
