Scouter - Broken Scouter Next weekend, July 23rd, is the second annual Allston DIY Fest in Allston, Massachusetts. This fest look too fun. [ Hausu - Makiadi ] Hausu is a band from the Pacific Northwest that is currently on tour throughout the West Coast. Their song "Makiadi" features a cool blend of sinister, swallowed baritone and shimmery, early-REM style arpeggiated guitars. They remind me a bit of Orange Juice. Myself and Dino Rossi have put together a little visual mix for the FMLY called Flawless Heart. The concept for the mix was to build on some of the different elements that personify weird, bedroom pop. Everything from: climatic vibratto, soulful whispers, blazes of smooth synth waves and other variants of electronic sound. Every song kind of plays off each other. I was recently in a public restroom doing things that are totally normal for a restroom when I saw this sticker. The blog These Come From Trees makes and distributes these stickers as "the world's first guerrilla public service announcement". Encase you need a refresher, here is a great public service announcement. I'm about to jump into this experiment and hopefully save some trees. They sale the stickers for pretty cheap on their website.
