The fourth world war is the most devastating world war to date but is rarely talked about in America but we are all a part of in one way or another. The war of corporate globalization is one that affects almost everyone in the world. This documentary does an amazing job covering the war for many different places around the world. There is no doubt that we are more connected globally than we ever have been. The question now is who will end up benefiting in the long run from this. Will it be corporate colonialism or the will of [...]

Feelings Getting in The Way (Prod. Listed) by VerBS VerBS has always been someone who I admire. He's not only one of the hardest working people I know but also one of the chillest. For those unfamiliar, VerBS is a FMLY vet, one eighth of the rap crew Swim Team , one half of Red Foxx , and is also known as a driving force behind the monthly Leimert Park Artwalk and DIY Hip Hop event BANANAS at Kaos Network. He's also an awesome photographer and generally a super [...]

Geoff Geis is one active man. He has a tendency to move AND shake. If you might better know him from his part in wierdo rockers Pizza! and pop heart throbs Big Whup . He also writes for Sean Carnage , LA RECORD and FMLY ! His most recent project is a little bit more personal. The tape Princess is striped to Geoff's soul. It's playful, touching and leaves space for breathing. The album carries a lot of diverse ranges and is a true exploration of the self. The album comes out [...]

[ Hausu - Makiadi ] Hausu is a band from the Pacific Northwest that is currently on tour throughout the West Coast. Their song "Makiadi" features a cool blend of sinister, swallowed baritone and shimmery, early-REM style arpeggiated guitars. They remind me a bit of Orange Juice. You can download a couple of other songs by them over at their website , which also features their tour itinerary. I asked the band to share a few things that inspired them, as I do, and got some pretty interesting responses. Click the link to see. [...]

image by Brad Rohloff Take one 20 year old African American male named Tyler; a college student and Chicago resident. Place Tyler with a 16 year old Caucasian female named Eloise; a high-school student and Los Angeles resident. Integrate the two into a community of like minded people, all who are in this community solely because of a common creative interest. Allow them to recognize that this isn't some strange social experiment or even strange at all, it's merely the product of their generation, it's the internet. And thus, Absent Fever is born. [...]

Myself and Dino Rossi have put together a little visual mix for the FMLY called Flawless Heart. The concept for the mix was to build on some of the different elements that personify weird, bedroom pop. Everything from: climatic vibratto, soulful whispers, blazes of smooth synth waves and other variants of electronic sound. Every song kind of plays off each other. I knew Dino had the right collection of old film footage for the visual aspect of the mix. As a whole, I feel like this visual mix tells a great story about random adventures and how [...]

Yohuna - It's All Yours A couple of days ago MJ MJ had a fundraiser show at Lot 1 in Echo Park. Encase you've been over loaded and forgot, they had a streak of misfortune this year and need help getting back on their feet. You can check out their Kickstarter for more info. Yohuna graced the show with her beautifully haunting music and Mick got a song on film! He also got this video from Kites Sail High from this past weekend at FMLY RIDE LA. Thanks again, [...]

I was recently in a public restroom doing things that are totally normal for a restroom when I saw this sticker. The blog These Come From Trees makes and distributes these stickers as "the world's first guerrilla public service announcement". Encase you need a refresher, here is a great public service announcement. I'm about to jump into this experiment and hopefully save some trees. They sale the stickers for pretty cheap on their website.

Dustin Wong - one mind Zomes - OK Philosophy I see life as very hard; I believe one should have a very simple, very crude and very strong moral system…. This is why there can't be any direct violence in my films. Already in The 400 Blows, Antoine is a child who never rebels openly. His moral system is more subtle than that. Like me, Antoine is against violence because it signifies confrontation. Violence is replaced by escape, not escape from what is essential, but escape in order [...]

Tan Dollar - Friends Again If you're looking for an affordable summer trip, I recommend closing your eyes from Your Body As a Temple through Cursed . During that time our Tan Dollar buds toured the west, put their split cassette with Weed Diamond in the hands of Thurston Moore, written songs about each other for each other, broken up, left the band, become a new band, released solo material, and most importantly, shown the importance of staying friends forever. But as I'm personally on the other side of the country [...]

"Pizza Baby" is the first that any of us have [...]
